Useful for flexibility in e.g. sanding concave surface. Sponge seems pretty durable/resistant to tears. Grit/surface will cake up a bit and will lose effectiveness as a sander fairly quickly - but still a 4-star product.

There is some misconception about the grit. It is the _SAME_ grit on both sides and listing, 800-1000 in the case of what I bought, is a range of the grit on both sides. Perhaps this a bit if marketing intended to mislead to customer, perhaps it is being a little more honest in that grit is a bit subjective. That is, there is really little to no difference in 800 or 1000 grit. I think the sponge could be a bit thinner and just a little more stiff but it is not bad. It is good if you are looking for some sandpaper that really bends more.

When these arrived I thought I had made a bad purchase. The foam is super soft and so there's really not much support for the sandpaper. However, we've now used these on a number of projects and the sandpaper holds up really quite well and the softness of the foam has been less of a problem that we thought. Overall, it's a great assortment of sandpaper grits for all types of projects.note: we used them to refinish cabinets and railings plus other small jobs.

Love these, perfect for my light sanding. The sponges are softer and easy to bend and cut for tight sanding. The listed grits are not near standard IMO but the variety pack was good for me. I’ve only rinsed them a couple of times and my sanding is light so not too sure of durability at this point but for the price I’m very happy.
