Needed this capacitor to replace an old-school Capacitor on an [ancient] Kenmore A/C.Had to use a couple twist ties to hold it in the right spot- but works like a charm.

Worked great, easy to install. AC unit failed on a Saturday, local HVAC place wanted $150 just to come out and look at the system. Suspected it was the capacitor since the unit was trying to start but would not. Got this next day from Amazon and the AC worked, saved me nearly $200 must likely.

AC units are easier and cheaper to troubleshoot and fix than I’d expected. Switched out my old capacitor and was up and running! Worked perfectly. Note to my fellow ladies - you got this!

1. I loved that it plugged right in as a replacement for my old one. Youtube and my experience as an auto mechanic got me through figuring out what the heck was going on with the unit.2. I wish it had the color coding the old capacitor had for the terminals, but it was easy enough with the stampings on the top of the new one which indicated what wires went where.I included pictures of the old one that this one replaced, in hopes that it cuts down the confusion as to whether this is a proper replacement for yours.

Make sure you get correct size exp mine is“ 45 5UF 6%” 370V.This product does not come with a double prong connector for the fan cable. Although it didn’t matter because it’s only one fan cable.

Did a quick youtube search following g my blower fan malfunction. Looked like the capacitor was swollen, made an educated guess that it was due to a bad capacitor... bought this, and it's been running great since. It's been 5 months, no issues. If they keep their prices fair, I'll be coming back whenever it goes bad again.

Ordered this when I noticed my outside unit wouldn't start, circuit breakers were fine, and when I could hear a little buzz as if the fan was trying to start. Internet seemed to say it could be the capacitor and when I took off the panel, the top of my capacitor was all rusty and bulged a bit - I don't think it's supposed to look like that :- ).Specs of my old (dual) capacitor: genteq 370VAC 50/60Hz 45uf 5uf (D156132P18 / JC1410230 / 27L880)You've got to be super careful when dealing with capacitors, with 340V, they are extremely dangerous even if they're not plugged in. I used a multi-meter on the old capacitor to my Trane XR and there was no voltage coming out of it... definitely dead and fortunately I didn't have to do the risky job of trying to discharge it.I popped the new one in that arrived from overnight delivery as promised. Made sure all the wires were coming in as with the old one and just like that, everything is humming fine for a week now.I really loved the fast delivery when I needed it and a professional would have charged hundreds of dollars for this simple fix.
