This is quite heavy and so one wouldn’t consider this a standard hiking item at all.This makes it perfect for day trips when you want all the gear makes a family outing special and comfortable.Folding is pretty self explanatory and the leather straps and carry handle make this a beautiful luxury picnic must have.The brown ground cover is a thick canvas material and seems like it will hold up on various terrain quite well for a long time.The blanket isn’t extraordinarily soft as fleece but to be expected and valued. I would equate it to the durability of some bed quilts.This also lends itself to durability and the pattern makes it striking and very boho chic while keeping in the neutral aesthetic.Seems like an easy toss in the wash and air dry item although even with hard use hasn’t picked up any stains at all.We used it as a blanket, a floor rug, and picnic blanket when we traveled to visit family. Big enough to drape over ropes and use as a shade tent or privacy blanket.It fit in suitcase and was well worth the weight and negligible bulk but I didn’t pack the ground cloth for air travel. I used a lighter weight ripstop tarp in its stead.This is perfect for gifting and I can guarantee it will be well received as it can be utilized in numerous settings and environments.Definitely need to order a few more for car kits.

This is a very nice quality picnic blanket, with a separate tarp. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the tarp is, it is heavy duty, well made, 100% waterproof, and with great stitching. My spouse and I wrap and roll things up for camping and the like, very tightly, so the included carrying strap holes for the buckle did not go small enough. I did end up punching a couple more holes in it so we could roll it tightly, which was quite easy to do. The whole thing is also much heavier than I was expecting. It clocked in at ~11 pounds, which is fine, andi would definitely recommend this blanket if you’re not walking far or are driving to a special picnic area or using this as a photography prop. (It does make a *beautiful* backdrop), but keep that in mind if you are walking far with or without small children!

I used it for gender reveal picnic set up. Looked very cute and definitely is washable.
