Nice fine mesh. Fits perfectly in my non-Bodum press. Silicon seems flimsy, but is holding up well.Recommend.

Material this is made from differs from original part received with Columbia french press. The plastic is stamped as made in Portugal with the bodum brand, but is formed a bit differently and has a softer feel. I washed it with hot soapy water, rinsed thoroughly and dried before using. There is also no threaded metal insert formed in this replacement, but instead requires that the small collar on the plunger shaft be removed and the shaft must be screwed into this longer, all plastic piece. As soon as the plunger was pressed into the hot water to make the brew , a strong chemical / plastic smell came out of the pot. I finished the press, and all the coffee had a tainted, chemical smell and taste. Bummer, I wasted my expensive sumatra coffee beans due to this - poured it down the drain and started over with the original disk. Haven't found the correct piece on manufacturer's site yet. Just wanted a backup on hand. LOVE my bodum french press.

We use our Bodum insulated coffee pot every day. The filter had gotten clogged and couldn't be adequately cleaned so I ordered a replacement. It is so nice to be able to get parts rather than needing to replace the pot. It came in a reasonable amount of time and fits perfectly.

I’ve had my Bod stainless steel French press for a VERY long time 20 years. Finally the bottom piece that strains gave up and started letting coffee grinds get through. Yuck!!!I’m back on the grind 🤣

I wasn't sure if this would work with my Bodum Duoro porcelain french press, but it does!

Lieferung dauerte zwar etwas länger aber kam aus Übersee da es bei uns nirgends verfügbar war.Passt 1 zu 1 zum alten.Die neue Dichtung ist transparent, die alte war schwarz. Was mich aber nicht stört.Jetzt wieder Kaffeegenuss ohne Satz 😊

I have a French press sold by Bodum through Williams Sonoma about 15 years ago or more . It was a $100.00 then and the stainless is still in outstanding condition. The cross plate was starting to show signs of wear so I went looking for a replacement part on Amazon not really expecting to find one. Thanks to a customer review or answer which gave the diameter of the V1508-ISR part as 3.5 inches I decided to order it to see if I had a chance of saving my press!!! It works and the impressive part is that Bodum designed this with the metal nut my press used already as a part of the cross plate so that by taking mine off it was a perfect fit !!!! Truly impressive !!!

I bought my Bodum Columbia while I was living in America. And after regular use over the last 16 years the filter was becoming more and more difficult to press down. So glad I found is replacement. Unscrew the old and screw on the new one. Let's see how long this one lasts.
