As an actor, I usually rely on emotions to bring out tears, but I decided to give this tear stick a try. I like it and find it really handy to keep with me on set. I gave it 4 stars because my first use felt more like a stinging sensation, which could have been due to it being my first time using it. After that, though, it worked really well!

My 14 year old niece is in about 3-4 plays per year. She loves acting and wanted this tear stick. Her review:I love it! When I used it on me, it worked easily. However, I tried it on my friends and one of them did not cry. You'll start to get tears easily, and applying it is really easy! You need to be hydrated for it to work properly, for the tears to come!

The lipstick shape is a bit confusing for this, but it's a great idea. I think it would mostly work for screen acting, though, because you can't really pull out a lipstick and apply it to your eyes on stage—unless you come on in a scene crying, of course.

This review is for the "BOBISUKA Tear Stick with Natural Menthol For Actors..." This item looks just like a lipstick. It is easy to carry in a pocket. Swipe under the eye for menthol fumes that will start the tearing process. I Works well, good quality and value.

Made in China. This is handy tool for any actor (or anyone who's in a situation where they'll need to act) that wants to produce real tears. A small swipe of the stick near your eyes results in a cold, minty sensation that makes your eyes water immediately. It's kind of like a cold burn, but not a painful one. The ingredients include menthol, mineral oil, shea butter, and a bunch of chemicals that are hard to type. It's easy to wash off once you don't want to cry anymore, but if you don't wash it off, it'll last a long time.

Tried this on one eye and after about 10 seconds, there were tears. It's up to you, as the actor, to now make the tears seem like they are coming from emotion. The "burn" lasted about 1 minute or so. If you are using this for acting purposes, it is best for just a few takes. Reapplying this over and over would probably not be the best for your eyes. It leaves a slight shine under your eyes, which actually just makes it look more realistic!
