First off, these Orchard Breeze hydration packets taste like a fruity carbonated prune juice.Secondly, the mixing instructions are not clear. The individual packets say to mix with 12 oz of cold water, shake gently, and then breathe for two minutes. The container itself says to mix with 12-14 oz of cold water, shake well for three seconds, and then breathe for two minutes. The instruction card says to mix with 12-16 oz of cold water, shake well, and wait one minute. It's evident that 12 oz of water is the recommended amount based off that information. However, the mentioning of only three seconds to shake the mix for should also be included in the other two locations. Because for me, "shake well" means you vigorously shake your bottle for at least ten seconds.Even when opening it slowly, this Orchard Breeze mix still sizzled up to the top of my bottle. I can only imagine the outcome of what would happen if someone were to only follow the directions inside, and "shake well" longer than the directions outside.

Taste - a bit sweet and flavorfulCarbonation - mild compared to traditional sparkling waterHydration - it's got the electrolytes I want to see in a hydration powderI use hydration powders multiple times during the day. I have one glass with breakfast and my morning supplements. I may have one in the afternoon and usually do after exercising. I also crave carbonated beverages but don't drink traditional soda and most sparkling beverages have little flavor, an artificial taste, or a club soda/sparkling water flavor that I don't like.Bobelo has enough flavor but it could be more carbonated for my taste. Still, for a convenient bag of powder, it's a nice alternative to non-carbonated options. I also like that the packets make transport easy.

If you like flavored and sparkling water as a change from drinking plain water, this fills the bill. The flavor tasted sort of strawberry/mango to me and I doubt that I'd stick with drinking it daily. More likely, I'll use it for times when I've been working in the garden on a really hot day. That's the time when I crave a Coke (which I've given up).Otherwise, plain water works for me. I had a friend try it and she raved about the flavor and the bubbles. She was particularly impressed with the health benefits of it (Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, and B, C, and D Vitamins). You can mix it with less water to have a sweeter drink or more water to just have a hint of flavor.

The standard hydration powder in the industry is made by… well you know it's the stuff made for that Florida college team. This is the first powder I've ever had that is bubbling when after you mix it. I thought it was a gimmick until I tried it a couple of times and realized how much I enjoyed the slight texture of bubbles. I'm a big fan of carbonated water, so I'm sure it has a lot to do with that. It's a little bit of a hassle to make this because you have to shake it and wait a couple of minutes before you can start drinking it. They tell you on the package, and in the package, and everywhere to do it this way and let's just say that's a good idea because otherwise you’ll be burping a lot at the very least. Nevertheless, that's a small price to pay for the hydration value and texture of the drink you get.The orchard breeze tasted fine to me. You could tell it was an electrolyte drink but it didn’t taste overly salty. It was refreshing and I enjoyed it. It says one package per 12 oz but I use 2 packages in 32 and that seems to work OK for me.Overall, I really have nothing to complain about with this.

So first the good, these little packets actually taste pretty good. For all of the reviewers complaining about the ingredients such as pomegranate and sodium, each is clearly listed on the box. Both the sodium amount and the fact that this product includes pomegranate are clearly listed in the "ingredients" picture of the product so if you choose to take it anyway then that is on you and the fact that you didn't do due diligence should not reflect negatively on the product. As for the bad, really not much but the directions state to mix a packet with 12-14 ounces of ice water into a reusable water bottle. Well, I buy Kirkland 16.9-ounce water bottles in mass quantity so I figured that I could simply consume about 4 ounces of water from one, mix in this packet, shake it up like Shakira and call it good. Not so much. The manufacturer must be implying that you need more "room for expansion" than what a 16.9-ounce water bottle can provide because mine leaked pretty badly over the floor when I went to open it; anyway, lesson learned. Also, the carbonation seems to be very short-lived, essentially, once you open the bottle, no more bubbles. Ironically, it still kind of tastes carbonated but there are literally zero bubbles after opening the bottle, which seems a bit strange to me. Overall, the product tastes very good so I am not knocking more than one star off, however, they also need to figure out how to reduce the price, especially since the box says they recommend 2-4 servings per day.

Taste was great, but didn't like the idea that you couldn't add it to a waterbottle because of the carbonation effect.
