The very first time I used one of the brushes to glaze a cake, it shed a bristle. Very disappointing!

I bought these to use for the holidays!! Large brushes are great for basting Mr. Turkey!! The smaller ones are great for brushing icing on cookies!!

The basic, bristle pastry brush such as I've been using for 50 years. Sheds a few bristles (like every one ever),but does the job as I want it done. Bonus: nicely finished handles, NOT raw wood.

These are just what I thought they would be. The only draw back is they shed. They are relatively easy to use and clean.

These are nice baking brushes. I knocked off one star because once in a while one of the bristles will come out so you need to be careful about that but it’s great to have a nice assortment ready to use. You can make your own bakers release by putting equal parts shortening, oil and flour in a blender and mixing it up. Pour it into a mason jar and use it to coat your baking pan. Works great with these brushes!
