This is a very handy and multi-functional test light. It can be used on 3-75V DC systems. The test light can test for voltage and current. The bidirectional electrical fuse has bright work lights. The tester has a digital voltmeter and buzzer alarm. The tester has various operating modes such as current, voltage, resistance and frequency. There is a built-in polarity detection test and for continuity and component activation.Would recommend this to anyone.

Used this recently to diagnose a failed AC system on an old Honda. Was able to work through fuses, relay, and power delivery system with this handy test light - narrowing down my issue to either AC coil magnet or the clutch spacing. If you're not familiar with multimeters, you may find this one of the more challenging test lights to use, even with the instructions. I find it immensely useful, but it's need for connection to the battery for power and it's shortish cords could limit use with interior cab applications, and those wanting simple continuity testing may be ultimately drawn to a cheaper and simpler test light.

I don't really like it ! I don't like having to hook it to the battery to get power to operate the resistance and continuity features. I'd rather just have a AA battery like every multimeter. if it had a single lead for the test light and a AA battery for the other features it would be my go-to tester but it's just not convenient to have to hook up two leads to power and ground just to test continuity, it's a pain and I'd rather just grab my multimeter.

I have always wanted a 12v tester to troubleshoot automotive wiring. This tester is excellent and has many functions. It works very well and has already helped me when I needed to find a 12v source tied to the ignition.

This automotive test light seems to be a well-made test light with plenty of features. This test light features positive and negative battery clamps, a separate grounding clamp, front-facing LEDs, a sturdy test probe, and a lengthy cord for the battery clamps. This automotive test light can be used to test DC voltage, DC current, resistance, continuity, and frequency. Additionally, this tester can be used as a sourcing or sinking probe using the built-in 3-position switch. The LCD display on this test probe is clear and large enough to easily read and features a blue LED backlight.Overall, this automotive test light has plenty of features that make it a very handy test probe. This single test probe easily replaces several other testers and makes automotive troubleshooting simple and quick.

This is a twist on the traditional 12 volt test light. You connect the alligator leads to your battery (both positive and negative) which powers it up.You then touch the probe to a wire or connection. If it is positive voltage, it says so and the red light turns on, while the display shows the volts measured. If you touch it to negative, the green light turns on, the display shows negative, and it emits a beep. You can switch modes to reading amps, resistance (using the included alligator clip) and hertz. There is a I/II momentary switch which is really not well explained in the manual - from what I can tell, it is used to test the unit before use? I think? Basically pressing the switch seems to connect the probe to either positive or negative voltage.I do wish the spiral power lead was longer. Several times I wanted to use this item and could not, because the power lead did not extend to reach the battery - and without those power leads, the unit is nonfunctional.Overall it's useful, and has lots of functions. The backlit display is easy to read, and the somewhat dim lights on the front of the probe might illuminate a very dark area in a pinch.Who is this for?- Anyone who does automotive electrical workPros:- Solidly built- Clear displayCons:- Somewhat confusing manual- Power leads are too short
