This grommet was much easier to replace than past grommets I’d bought. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another one if needed.

An authentic BMW part so no trimming or fussing. This was a perfect fit for my 1998 M Roadster. I was able to install from above (didn't even open the trunk). Hot water soak and some dish detergent helped.

Fit my 1999 BMW Z3 and installed with a little forethought and some effort. Similar/same item at half this price from other suppliers.

Worked perfectly. Like some other reviews, it was a little bit of a challenge to fit it perfectly positioned in the hole. Had to apply a bit of pressure (without denting the car body). Might help to leave it in the warm sun or a hair dryer/heatgun (for a very short time) to soften it just a tad.

This product is well made and fits my 1999 BMW Z3 great. Easy to install, but like others have said the rubber is pretty hard. Just heat in microwave a little until rubber get soft. Line the inside the grommet with a little soap, then insert the antenna. That it! Highly recommend this grommet.

After removing the antenna, I put a little dishwashing liquid on it. I then seated the grommet into the fender. The threaded end of the antenna could not reach the antenna base. I used a longer screw, placed a piece of rubber on the body to protect it, and used a pry bar under the screw thread to gently lift the screw head up slowly until it popped into place and seated inside the grommet. I removed the screw and then inserted the antenna, fits great.

Fits in seconds once you remove the aerial from the inner wing. Looks just like the original.

Came quickly. Really good/strong material. So close to a perfect fit; I had to use pliers to rotate it (showing how durable the material is) until I realized it would have a tiny gap in the back. I can live with the miniscule gap. Fits tightly in place, no worries about leaks or the like.Replaces a 16 year-old grommet (second picture) on my Z3. Good for the $10. I took out the old one with a flat top screwdriver. It hurt my paint a bit, but the new grommet hid the slight damage. I simply put some soapy water on the new one and pushed in hard. Didn't open the trunk

This worked perfectly! One thing to keep in mind when installing it, though. The antenna's threaded receiver has a ball shape. It will appear that there's no way you're going to get then antenna threaded but that ball is designed to go all the way inside the grommet. It helps to heat up the grommet with a microwave for just a few seconds to soften it up. Then get some dish soap and water and moisten it up. Tap it gently into place on the car. Then, I used a long screw that matched the threads to screw in partially, leaving me a good 2-3" of screw to use to pull that ball up into the grommet. It will pop into place and you can screw the antenna back on. Voila!
