Probé éste cargador con la batería original Sony NP-FV70A que viene con la videocámara Sony FDR-AX43A, y se cargó igual que con el cargador suministrado con la videocámara. Ésta batería original colocada en la videocámara mostró un tiempo de grabación para 3hr 30min, lo cual es correcto.Después cargué la batería genérica que viene incluida con este kit, la coloqué en la videocámara, y mostró un tiempo de grabación para 2hr 20min.Quise ver realmente cuánto tiempo grababa, así que dejé grabando la videocámara, y antes de las 2hr 20min empezó a mostrar “batería baja”. Sin embargo siguió grabando 1hr 20min más hasta que se apagó la videocámara. Es decir, grabó un total de 3hr 40min.Recomiendo éste kit a pesar del inconveniente de la batería genérica que no puede mostrar el tiempo real total de grabación que es capaz.

The battery pack works seamlessly with my old Sony HDR-CX110 camera. I did some tests of this BM NP-FV70 against the original Sony NP-FV50 battery pack. I fully charged the battery pack and then had the camera do a single video recording until the camera shut down due to the low battery condition. The old Sony NP-FV50 battery pack would record for 125 minutes. This BM NP-FV70 battery pack would record for 150 minutes. I did fully charge and discharge the BM NP-FV70 battery pack multiple times before I achieved the 150 minutes recording time, as sometimes battery packs require a few cycles to achieve their maximum capacity. So this BM NP-FV70 battery pack is 20% higher capacity than the original Sony NP-FV50 pack. Note that the BM battery pack claims a 2.5 times higher capacity than the Sony pack (2,450 mAh vs. ~1,000 mAh), but only achieves a 20% increase. That is not a big deal for me. I really just wanted to have a spare battery pack and 2.5 hours of recording time is not bad. Overall, the BM package is a good deal for the money - the wall charger, car charger cord, European wall plug adapter, and the battery pack for just $19.99.

I needed a battery that can record for at least 3 hours straight so I got the NP-FV70 which can supposedly record up to 4 hours. It does show in the LCD screen that it can record up to 4 hours but when I tried it out it just died after 1 hour and 30 mins of continuous recording. It didn't even give a low-batt warning. I followed the instructions and charge the battery before first use. My camcorder is a Sony HDR-PJ710V, the battery that came with it is NP-FV50 and it last longer (2 hours) than Big Mike's. I already made a return request but thought I should make a review to let other buyers know the quality of what they're buying.

No more without power!Practical, cheap, light, necessary for "Sony HandyCam" products supplied without power unit.Easy to use in Europe and the U.S. with its "switchable" power plug.I've searched through tons of websites before find it.You can use it at home as in your car, quick charge, the spare battery is enough for three hours of snapshots or video (with my HDR-CX200).Really fast delivery.The right price for the right tool.

I give this five stars because the battery works great, and it was very reasonably priced. The charger feels a little cheap, but it works fine. I'd take a star off for that except for the fact that the charger was included for only a few bucks more than the battery alone.Note that this battery does stick out a fair amount more than the standard Sony battery, but it hasn't been a problem for us. It gets around 4-5 hours of battery with our camera, so I really can't complain!

i purchased this battery to use with my Sony Handycam DCR-SX85. It worked fine with the camera. I was able to charge the battery with the battery charger, while I was using the camera and the battery was ready when I needed it. I have not used the adapter for the charger that works in the car. It also came with a cleaning cloth and screen protector. It was well worth the money and savings because the retail store is such a higher price for the battery. I would recommend this item.

I have a Sony HDR-CX190 so I got this, primarily for the battery and charger. First off, the charger is not just a car charger, but also is a house charger with an airplane adapter. The battery came half charged, but works with the camera just fine. No problems at all. The screens come in threes, with a spreading device to smooth out the bubbles (I'm not very great at that, unfortunately) and a cloth to wipe down the screen (mine was orange). This is perfect for what I need!Pros:Everything worksAlready a bit charged so I could check if it workedCharger is also a house chargerCons:The fear I had when I spread out the screen protector in fear of breaking the screen.

I am using this with my Sony video cam. It charges batteries much faster than charging with the camera and the battery seems to hold a charge much better than the battery supplied with the camera. On a recent trip, i only need to recharge the battery every few days with a fair amount of video recording. This is truly a winner!
