purchased for a customer that has 4 exterior doors in his home, only 3 stars as they are very cheap metal compared to what you would purchase from your local box store - but were reasonably priced so there's that

Ok, I am returning. I wanted to add some security to slow down any wood be door breaching thug. I loved the price, but it turned out these are very thin as shown in photo: 1.25mm vs 2.06mm for the thicker plates I ended up buying at a local store. The weight of these is 91 grams vs 172 grams for the one I bought to replace it. Came with very thin screws and very short approximately 1-1/2" in length vs 3" for the heavy duty one I replaced these with. I tried a deck screw and as you can see in photo, the head stuck out far. I am writing this because it grieves me for the people who are not engineer analytically minded because they would install this thinking they had security improvement and they would be much better off leaving what they have and just replacing the short brass screws with deck screws. The word "security Strike Plate" should probably be removed from the description. I could say more, but this should suffice.

They are not to my door spec's, I had to cut them in half and use them separately for each lock. I also drilled two new holes, and countersunk them. I have not installed them yet but after doing this, I believe they will still provide some level of strength.

These strike plates fit all my door frames perfectly! They are made to fit most doors made these days! Used to reinforce the door frame, they accommodate the dead bolt and the regular door handle bolt as they go into the door frame! These are well made and fit all the doors I attached them to! I substituted the supplied screws for some 4inch screws! They are very sturdy and they look good as well!

Doubt this would be a security upgrade for anyone, the helped me with issues I was previously having with my bolt holes that were there, but I was a little disappointed in these. They are rather flimsy/thin. I am not sure if it is the product itself or my doors, but the holes in these didn't line up with none of my doors. I had to cut he holes bigger for the bolt and dead bolt. I also had to shave my door frame which took the longest time for installing. The screws these came with were VERY cheap, and I easily destroyed a few of them over tightening them to the point where the head striped off. The screws are very shallow measuring only 3/4" (17mm) and very thin. I was disappointed and wish they were at least 3" and stout. These solved a few of the issues I was having so I am keeping them, but I just had to use my Dremel on them more then I would have liked.

I'm a US Army veteran and have PTSD, which, of course, leads to paranoia. These are very good quality strike plates. I personally put in 3⅛ inch GRK deck screws for additional strength. Would definitely recommend!
