Longer Range than $9.99 one, and this one has a display, and connects easy and all else.We use it connected to SiriusXM Receiver in house TX to a small BT speaker that can carry anywhere in house and for a decent little ways outside too!

I use this so I can hear the TV at normal levels. Works well although there is a slight delay. The mouths don't line up with the sound. I just can't look to closely when I listen.

Took a few minutes to hookup and to learn how to use. After that, I haven't found anything Bluetooth that I use that won't connect. And it connects quickly. The distance is incredible to. Side note: I am hearing impaired and prefer assistance hearing tv. I use earbuds, bt speaker, headphones or my hearing aides (that connect to blue tooth). All connect. Highly recommend. I have so many options to hear the tv now and don't have to disturb my family, its wonderful. I need 2 more for other tv's will purchase in future.Update: purchased and received 2nd one. Recommend

I have this BT device connected to a stereo amp that is also connected to my TV. During the day the TV is on without using the amp and BT transmitter. When watching TV late night I use BT headphones with this BT transmitter in 'TR mode'. This Bluetooth Transmitter has great range, my headphones work all thrugh the house. When watching dialog I notice a delay, - lip movement doesn't match what I'm hearing. I believe that to be a problem with bluetooth in general.

The Transmitter worked well when finding and connecting from my Alesis QS8.1 synthesizer keyboard 'Headphone Jack Out' to my Bluetooth JBL Headphones. Worked like a champ. Very quick. The Sound quality was fine. I did notice a slight hum from the transmitter, at higher volumes, but I overcame that by turning the volume down on the transmitter and volume up on the synthesizer.Unfortunately, there was some initial latency between the devices when I begin pressing keys on the keyboard. Abut 1/25 of a second delay. When playing the piano, that is a killer. Playing requires instantaneous feedback. So I had to send it back.Even though I never tested any other transmitters, I would venture to say this issue might be an industry wide defect and not just with this product. I guess I will have to rely on wired headphones for the time being.Having said that, I am sure the transmitter works well with TV's and Stereo Music where the delay will not be easily noticeable.

Sound quality was good. The setup instructions were horrible but I figured it out and was able to set it up correctly. For me the latency was a deal breaker. The way to pass through optical from TV out to optical in on our sound bar is to use what they call bypass mode. Use the mode select button to go to tx mode to pair Bluetooth headphones. You can't do both bypass optical out to optical in and listen through Bluetooth earbuds at the same time. It is either bypass mode or Bluetooth mode, not both. Anyway, the latency in bypass mode, where it is just passing optical out through to optical in, on our sound bar is so bad it looks like you are watching a foreign film where the English translation is dubbed in while the lips are moving so off the soundtrack that it looks like they are speaking in another language. For people who don't pay much attention to that sort of thing these would be great. It found my earbuds with no problem after it was powered down, even unplugged, and powered back up. It remembered the pairing without issue. But the latency was too much for me. I returned this and bought an optical splitter on Amazon that splits one in into three outs. It worked great passing through optical from of the outs of the splitter to our sound bar and there is no noticeable latency. I connected another optical cable out of the splitter to a different Bluetooth Adapter, bought on Amazon, and there was a minor amount of latency going to my Bluetooth earbuds but that adapter has aptX capability and my earbuds are a little older. But even then the latency is tolerable. I found some inexpensive earbuds on Amazon and have ordered them to try with this setup. Also with this new two piece setup (splitter and adapter) I can listen through the earbuds and the sound bar at the same time. You can turn off the sound bar and listen through the earbuds alone or vice versa without the need to get up and click a mode button. Back to this device now. If you don't care about latency I have to say this did work really well. But I couldn't deal with the latency. I was surprised to see such latency in optical to optical bypass mode. I would have thought that would be latency free as it is with the splitter I ended up using. I pretty much expected to see some latency in Bluetooth mode. But I have to say that the latency in Bluetooth mode was a lot worse with this Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver than with the Wireless Bluetooth Adapter I ended up with. The setup I ended up with (not this device) is more convenient to use (I don't have to get up and press a mode button to switch between devices). But more importantly there is no latency using optical to our sound bar and there is a small (tolerable) amount of latency using Bluetooth earbuds.
