I don't like it at all.Think about it, this will be mounted in a battery box, or utility area. The Bluetooth range SUCKS !!!!!! Any FOIL type insulation board MAKES IT WORSE... Also, this is a very SMALL SHUNT for 500amps and it has a plastic base. This shunt will get VERY HOT at 500amps. A 12vdc 5,000 watt inverter will use 400+amps. The shunt is better sized to say 250amps.See picture. A 750amp shunt, this 500amp shunt and a 100amp shunt. This shunt will get HOT !!!! And I don't keep/use anything with an app that needs the location ON for Bluetooth and something like this. It is RIDICULOUS !!!

Great tool to have in the toolbox, works great with most inverters and solar setup systems with multi batteries. Great investment.

I have been comparing this and another that is much more basic in the parameters measured but very high in hardware quality. I have to admit, the shunt in that one was about 10-15% more efficient. That's not to say this shunt is bad, not at all. I'm just saying that is probably the weakest point of this whole thing, so that's doing pretty good!My other concern that hasn't seemed to materialize is the fact that the shunt is tied right into the body of the electronics. I was expecting lots of, or at least SOME noise interference but so far...it's a non issue. The parameters are the star here. The list of available data to monitor is fantastic and gives you a very realistic idea of what's going on with your cells and your usage. It's been very accurate with the real world thus far. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!
