These filters work really well and my water have never been more clean. I even reuse the string after they're changed out for other uses (tying packages, livestock string for fence mending and craft projects). I highly recommend them!

I use a whole house cartridge style water filter in our home that has a well. We get a lot of sediment/sand/clay coming up with our water. I use this "yarn style" filter as the first stage of filtration to get the bulk of the crud that comes in with our water. These filters appear to work at the same level of performance as the name brands from the local big box hardware stores at a small percentage of the price. Buying several like this means I won't have to worry about it for a while. I set the box next to the cartridge in the basement and I swap them out every few months, so now I'm good for a year plus.In my use case this basic filter is then followed by a larger unit that uses greensand and activated charcoal so I can't speak to how this would perform as the only filter in a system. For me, it's more of a pre-filter to minimize crud going into the higher end filtration system. It works well at this though, and causes little to no pressure drop when clean.

When you are on well water you have to have a filter system. I use these as a backup Downstream from my calcite filter. These seem to do a good job and are made well.

Great product at a great price and works great for my water tank bladder. So much better than the ones I was previously using and these were at a much cheaper price. Definitely recommend and shipping was fast.
