Plug and play. Simple set up. It works perfectly, nothing to install.

Unless you have a computer dedicated and on all the time the app is worthless. By the time you get it running each time you want a reading you could have just walked into the room and hit them. Don't waste your time and money if you want instant app readings.

Final Update: GarbageAllow me to share some advice that may save you hours of time, frustration, and money. Forego this overpriced garbage and get a cheap wireless cam for under $30 and point it at the device you want to monitor. Done. No need for anything else. You won’t get notifications from your Bluelab device, but they were so constant and annoying to me that I’m happy without them. False notifications that your system is down every couple hours is worse than no notifications at all in my book.First off, I’m pretty sure I received an open box item. The box end was open and box was bulky like it had been unpacked and re-packaged. At any rate, the device itself works, usually. I’m using it with the Ph Controller (which I absolutely love by the way) and the signal is fairly weak. They make a range extender, but c’mon, the additional costs here are getting quite excessive just to get a fully functioning product. Not to mention the fact you will need a laptop or something with a USB port and ability to install the Connect software. That device will also need to be within range of whatever Bluelab Connect product you are trying to monitor/control. I ended up just putting the old MacBook Air I’m using as the intermediate device pretty close to the Controller because I got sick of the device offline notifications when it kept losing signal. If you can get past all that, this does give you the ability to monitor various figures from anywhere. In my case, I can monitor my water Ph and Temperature. I also think it is fairly ridiculous the PH Controller doesn’t include a PPM meter that can be ‘Connect-ed’ to this thing. You can control the Ph controller settings from the intermediate device, but I haven’t messed around with that yet.Whether this is worth it or not depends on how bad you want/need to monitor your environment remotely.
