Clear Green Bands
Blue 470nm LED light-emitting module has high brightness, long lifetime of more than 30,000 hours, and low power usage. The amber cover filters the intense blue light and only lets the emission light through, allowing clear observation without protective light filtering goggles.
Cut Gel Bands Directly on Surface

The transilluminator does not use UV light and is thus inherently safer than traditional UV-light transilluminators. Prolonged exposure to UV light can damage DNA samples and compromise the integrity of samples to be used for downstream applications, such as subcloning.

I like that this lets you see without needing to wear any cheesy goggles. It uses blue light, so there is no worry about damage to samples. The ability to take pictures with your phone using the foldable piece/darkroom that’s included is really cool. It’s not large, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It is easy to plug in and use, and even comes with an extra tool for cutting. It is a bit on the expensive side though.

I recently tested the Blue LED Light Transilluminator 470nm, for Gel Electrophoresis Visualization from the IVYX Scientific Store, and Iwas impressed with its performance. I tested it in my lab to look at protein gel stains, and it worked really well.The size of the tool is very compact, which makes it easy to use and store. The blue light transmission is accurate, and the amber filter cover filters the intense blue light to ~580 nm and only lets the emission light through, allowing observation and gel-cutting without protective light filtering goggles.The foldable imaging hood creates a mini darkroom to record your results with a quick snapshot from your phone, tablet or camera.
