Previous block and tackle I had bought was a bit flimsy. Using it to raise bicycles in garage. Have a16 ft. ceiling in garage so bikes are pretty high up and over one of my cars. Have always been a little fearful of block and tackle failing and dropping bikes on to car. This Block and Tackle much more sturdy and solidly built. Also comes with rope and ready to install. Prior block and tackle came with flimsy rope and had to replace it. Switched over and now no fear of block and tackle failing.

Nice construction with high-quality materials. Worked very smoothly. Nylon rope was plenty long.

Works well enough. It’s a little light weight and the rope like to jump off pulley without weight. But it does function well enough to use as needed without causing headaches.

The two hand straps worked great. Nice length and very rugged.Block and tackle wheels are plastic. Frame of upper and lower pulleys are sandwiched using stamped out metal frames. The rope is 3/8” poly. Rope. It’s definitely not the type of rope you’d want to hold anything over a couple hundred pounds. I used this item to suspend a 84” x 51”! X 1 1/2” stair landing while I prepped it to lay it flat on two steel beams. The landing is approx 150 lbs. I tied the rope off using dock cleats attached to a walk stud. I out 4 eye hooks in as well. One for each corner and tied them off as well. I couldn’t trust the block and tackel to support the weight by itself. QMy biggest issue with this product was there was NO instruction in the box. With an item that claims to lift the weight advertised you’d expect to see precautions like the do’s & don’t and which end is up. Which I still don’t know I had to guess. The seller had asked for a review and now almost a week later here it is. I didn’t plan on returning it. now after reading what I’ve written I’m going to see if the seller will Accept a return. Conclusion: use the thing between your ears and don’t put yourself at risk and stay out of the way of what ever is rigged up to

Had a 30 foot eucalyptus tree (20cm diameter trunk) come over in the last storm, had tried to lift it with heavy duty ratchett straps but just too heavy and broke a couple. Bought this block and tackle and didn’t hold out much hope for the money but physics works and I was able to pull it up bit by bit until upright. I don’t think it was even straining to do the job, the hardest bit was keeping a grip on the thin rope that come with it. With 2 people it would have been easy, however my wife just watched from the comfort of the sofa whilst I fought gale force winds and rain and very muddy garden to save her tree. Thanks for the help babe.

I need this Block and Tackle to lift higher than eight feet. From another seller I purchased a spool of 3/8" line. THE BLCOCK AND TACKLE COMES WITH 1/4" NOT 3/8" LINE. The Block and Tackle is too small to accept 3/8" line. Please note the multiple complaints by other buyers regarding the Block and Tackle line.

My husband has a portable lumber mill. He is using this block and tackle to help him lift logs into the mill. Very solid. Happy with purchase.

I purchased x2 of these to lift x4 250Kg beams and fit 2.4m off floor level.Access was difficult so I couldn’t hire a Genie lift. They worked very well, although I incorporated scaffold at lift stages for added safety as ‘support stations’.The only issue is that the rope supplied twists and sometimes it’s necessary to rethread through the pulleys.Very good value for money.

I ordered this after reading the reviews, many of which were quite critical! I have a project that requires suspending a truck bed so that I can take the truck out from under it for some work, and then driving the truck back under the bed to reattach once the work is completed. After building a support structure, I was able to use this little, inexpensively made block and tackle to lift the truck bed and suspend it. The thing worked better than expected. The most frequent complaint I see here about this block and tackle is that it gets all twisted up. The blame for that is usually placed on the rope that's being used. Well, it isn't the fault of the rope. It is the fault of the user! One of the very first things that need to be done before putting this to use is to lay out the rope, and run it through your hands to remove all the ADDITIONAL twists that were introduced when the rope was ucloiled! Get the rope nice and straight and you won't have a twisted up block and tackle!
