This light surprised me as to how much the price was. It's still a tad high in my opinion but it's definitely a quality light. The light itself is sturdy and rugged and feels like it'll take a lot of abuse. It comes with several different attachments and accessories. The magnet on the back side of it is very strong. The accessories utilize the strong back magnet to keep it all together. There's multiple different light modes that it has.One point I do want to make sure is that it's not really a flashlight. This is a blinking light so that people walking around are more visible in low light areas.

My wife is a morning person - as in taking her walks while it is still quite dark outside. Walkers and runners are hard for drivers to see - even if you have high visibility and/or reflective gear. This device is perfect for her early morning forays outside. The choice of light colors and light patterns are good and allows her to choose what suits her best. A word of warning - the blink setting gives you significantly longer battery life compared to the “breathe” or constant settings. There are numerous ways of attaching the light supplied with the unit depending on your personal needs. While there is a lot of flexibility setting light frequency, color, and attachment method - I find that it is most likely that I am just going to set it and use it the same way each time. At the same time, it is nice to have the flexibility of using different mounts and light patterns to suit different preferences.

When opening the SCOUTLITE BlinkO Set 5 in 1, Wearable Outdoor Safety Light with Clip, Wristband, Necklace and Keyring I cojuldn't help but be impressed on what a high quality product it is. So many things I get come in a plastic baggie and are rebrabded generic products. But the SCOUTLITE BlinkO is obviously not like that. When you open the box, inside there are three more boxes with a wrist strap, a kind of lanyard, a clip-on device and a keyring just because. Each piece (except the keyring) is magnetized, and the BlinkO itself is magnetized with the reverse polarity. So the magnetic connection is very solid. The wrist strap is a webbed strapping with a velcro fastening that can be adjusted to any size as the strap just loops through one side of the disc. Snap the BlinkO to the plate and you're set.Similarly, the lanyard and the clip have a magnetized ring that the BlinkO sticks to. The lanyard is adjustable and is kind of a rubbery, elasticy kind of bolo-tie thingy. I can see this elastic giving out somewhere down the road, depending on how much (ab)use it gets. The clip on is really solid. When I saw the product photo of it clipped to a dog coller I thought "Oh, sure". But I have no doubt this the clip would hang on in all but the most extreme circumstances. The light itself is super bright. All control is done through the "SCOUTLINE" logo strip in the center. It can be set to be always on, "breathing" where it slowly dims and brightens, I kind of strobe setting where it flashes very briefly, and "Eco Flash" which is less frenetic. Both of the flash modes give you the longest run time as the light is not on full time. Runtime varies from just over an hour when on constant, up to 24 hours in Eco Flash. You can also trigger an SOS mode which will run for 4 hours on a full charge. The light can be switched from red to amber if you like. And there is a "lockout" mode to reduce the likelihood of having the light come on when bouncing around in a bag. There is also a "game" mode which I don't fully understand. It seems to need two BlinkO's and as one gets close to the other, the light changes from amber to red. Dunno. The keyring is just a keyring. My wife and I were in Costa Rica a while ago, and walking along the side of the road after dark (with no shoulder, and no streetlights), this would have been a welcome thing to have to make ourselves more visible to passing cars. And it's bright enough to use as a flashlight if you've dropped something in the dark. It's a bit pricy, but it is a well engineered product that performs brilliantly. (Pun intended).

This light looks and feels solid and well-made. The single switch, a push-button in the middle of the light ring, feels substantial and has a definite click. The switch must be depressed and held for a couple of seconds to turn it on or off, minimizing the chance of accidental activation and subsequent battery discharge. I didn't try it, but the light claims to be water-resistant and it even has a little rubber plug over the charging port. The light comes with several accessories, including a neck lanyard, wrist strap, clip mount, USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a key ring. The key ring has a leather strap that could be threaded through the open part of the light ring, but the light attaches to the other mounts magnetically. The photo shows these items, most of which were packaged in separate little card-stock boxes that were then tucked into a larger box. Note that there is not a plastic bag in sight! The magnetic mountings are convenient. The light could be brushed or knocked off, but the magnets are pretty strong and I never encountered that problem during testing. Similarly, the clip mount doesn't have a particularly strong spring and could probably be inadvertently brushed off. The wrist strap is substantial and fastened with a hook-and-loop (Velcro-style) material. The lanyard is a thin loop of silicon rubber that just pulls over the head. The leather strap on the key ring is held together with screw and T-nut, but only the male end of the screw has a slot for a screwdriver; the female end has a smooth, round surface with no way to hold it while tightening the screw. The ring has a fairly strong gate spring that is unlikely to open inadvertently. The description says the light is visible over a 270-degree field, and indeed the light is visible over a field greater than a hemisphere but the brightness falls rapidly beyond about 15-20 degrees off-axis, so it's important to wear the light pointed in the direction from which you want to be seen. I would not rely on it to be seen from its side. The output light pattern is a choice of the designers, in that concentrating the light in the forward direction makes a small light visible from farther out in that direction at the expense of off-axis brightness. Projecting full brightness over more than a hemisphere would require a substantially more powerful light, which would be bigger and heavier.I did not try synchronized flashing novelty function as I only had one unit. This is a nice, bright little light. It seems overpriced unless you greatly value the variety of attachments; an Amazon search for "clip on safety light for runners" resulted in hundreds of such lights, of which only five were priced at or above $50 and most of which were below $20.So for function, convenience, and quality this is a great light but it loses a star for price and for its claims to be visible over a very wide field.

✅ Instantly, the BlinkO exuded robust quality and durability. BlinkO felt fun.✅ The BlinkO is bright in each illumination mode and is easily visible by observers, especially at night.✅ The manufacturer claims run-time is up to 24 hours. Be prepared for about 18 hours in flash mode. If you use constant mode, plan for only one and a third hours.✅ Accessories included: A wristwatch style mount, neck strap mount, key chain loop and a clip mount. All of the accessories are well made. I personally really liked the clip mount. The clip grab is good.✅ The BlinkO attaches reasonably securely to the wrist, neck and clip mounts using a magnetic bind. The built-in magnet will also bind well with iron-based metal (e.g. metal car body).✅ The Blinko is water resistant.✅ Impact or drop tolerance is claimed to be 1.5 m. I think this is encouraging.✅ Charging was easy using the included USB-C charging cable. The USB port had a tethered water resistant silicone cap.✅ The user interface is easy and fast via an upfront pushbutton. Changing the illumination mode is easy with a single click and colour (red to amber and back) is with a double click of the pushbutton.✅ A "flashlight mode" can be emulated by putting BlinkO in constant mode and switching to the amber colour. It actually floods well versus spotlighting a space.✅ BlinkO was easy to grab with the fingers, yet won't easily snag on things as you walk by them with BlinkO hanging out with you.✅ BlinkO felt and looked fashionable.✅ Product warranty is 24 hours with an optional bonus six months for the main BlinkO module.✅ The user manual was very well written and in multiple languages.✅ The product packaging was excellent.❌ Shoppers may be initially turned off at the list price, even with a vendor discount coupon. However, the product you would be getting is really well made, very visible and should last a very long time.❌ The product packaging for the neck strap and the wrist band both indicated "MAGNETIC NECK STRAP" even though the images were different as were the part numbers MJ-6562 and MJ-6566, respectively.❌ A very minor con: BlinkO is a tiny bit on the heavy side. That is, if you say perhaps clip it to the collar of a t-shirt, BlinkO will droop down just a wee bit. I thought this was worth mentioning. Otherwise, clipping to other heftier things won't be a problem (e.g. a jacket pocket flap, a jean pants pocket hem, etc.).❌ You could say this with virtually every USB-C chargin' widget on the planet, but I wish BlinkO had a backup slot for say a CR2032 battery so it can still be used when its rechargeable lithium battery is well past its expiry date.SUMMARY:The maximum light output is 20 lumens. This should serve well all day and particularly during low light levels. Charging is fast and mounting trivial, yet secure no matter the rain forecast. If you need a safety beacon that can tolerate some physical abuse and you can put up with a premium list price, then the BlinkO won't disappoint.

I was intrigued by this light. It looks likes a prop from a science fiction movie but I found it surprisingly delightful, functional and fun. I especially like the wrist band mode which I used walking the dog around the neighborhood. It has a strong magnetic base which feels very secure. I even drove around with it attached to my car as a hood ornament. It has a metal body and comes with several accessories which can be quite useful. However, it says nothing about waterproofing but I put it to the test. Driving around with it on my hood in pouring rainstorm did no damage. In the same deluge I walked the dog - again it held up just fine. Back at the house I found myself using it as a fidget distraction. It has a few different colors and modes to choose from including a very subtle "breathing" mode which I really like. It can stay on steady or flash. It also has a "game" mode which i have not really figured out how it works. I'm very pleased and I really enjoy the form and function.

I ordered this light to wear when I'm cycling at night. It very good quality coming with 4 different attachments, a necklace, clip, wrist strap and key fob. The light is held on very firmly to all of these via strong magnets. The light is very bright especially on the red mode, and can easily be seen if worn in a prominent place, it has four modes, static, breathe, flash and sos. The amber mode is less bright. You can switch modes by double clicking the centre button, it goes between red and amber. The only let down I can find is that really short charging cable, which is a USB a to USB c cable. This doesn't other me overly as I have so many cables that are longer, but a longer cable would have made this five stars.

This light can be set to red or yellow with the ubiquitous flashing options that I loathe but other people seem to enjoy. Operation is really easy with a single switch that:* with one quick press gives you a battery level indication* with a long press, turns on or off* switches modes while on with a short press* switches colour with a quick double tapIt's amazing how some light / torch manufacturers manage to make this so complicated, but Scoutlite seem to have figured it out!The light arrives in a really nice box with tons of lovely rubber padding and comes with four different mounts (all magnetic): a clip to attach to a sleeve (or dog collar in my case), lanyard, wristband and a keyring. It also comes with a charging cable (USB-C thankfully) and no charger (also appreciated). In operation the magnet is very strong and it's survived being bounced around in fields while attached to my energetic labrador. Being water resistant (but not stated as waterproof) is another essential feature. At an advertised price of just under £50 at the time of review this isn't the cheapest light you can buy, but it's probably the highest quality at this price range.Recommended.

This comprehensive wearable safety light set is finely crafted, well thought out and beautifully packaged. The light functions as stated in the instructions. To have full understanding on its operations, you really need to read the instructions (offered in 8 languages).(When it's on, press twice to change between red and yellow colors. Actually, the instruction INCORRECTLY says press the button "3 times" to do so. CORRECTLY, it's TWICE/2 TIMES to toggle colors.)The light looks well crafted and waterproof.(I haven't immersed it in the water yet, but its USB-C socket cover fits pretty tightly.)This light itself can magnetically attach to metals such as iron.It also comes with 4 different magnetic attachments: 1. a flat round base with a clip, 2. a key chain with a silicone strap, 3. a watch-style wristband, and 4. a silicone necklace/neck band. One minor complaint is that the above silicone parts easily attract fine dust, etc. and get a bit messy-looking as they are used.Otherwise, I very much like this wearable safety light set.Its packaging is perfect as a gift as well.Highly recommended.Thank you for letting me review this product.

This is a reedit - clip attachment and power cord were discovered in the bottom of the light box as stated by customer care. I appreciate customer support reaching out and shows that this company cares.------------------------------------------------------------------This is an ideal light for others to see you when doing any activity outside! Its magnetic base and metal attachments make placement a breeze. However, for what you get it is a bit too pricey. There are other lights on the market that offer similar functions at a more reasonable price albeit not with this quality design. There's a single switch toggle that turns it on (press for 3 secs). shorter presses alter the type of light. Now to get the maximum battery usage, you need to select the dimmer flash mode. But at the max mode you will get a decent 1.5 to 2 hours of use. Charging the battery is fast at about 1 hour and a little more. But there is no charging cord included. You will know that it is at full charge since a little green light appears. The attachments are also a good quality and magnetic. There appears to be 4 attachments but the packages are confusing. I noticed that 2 boxes with the same title "magnetic neck strap" held the neck strap while the other held the wristband.Pros:- rechargeable -with small light to indicator for full charge- decent, visible brightness levels- robust design to take a modest drop or fall of 5ft- waterproof- 5 multiple light modes- batteries can last almost a day at dimmest flash level- easy, fairly strong magnetic attachments between magnetic base and magnetic attachmentsCons:- confusion with names on box for 2 attachments- design - consider an integrated power connection
