I have a few bearing removal sets. But I have never had one like this. The way it uses collets to pull internal bearings are super cool. For all my available tools, if I have to pull a bearing with a large inside diameter, they won't work. But this one will. The only regret is that it requires the bearing to be open-faced, which is rare these days. Most of the bearings I have seen are fully enclosed with metal cases on both sides. So one has to cut open the top side of the bearing for it to work, which is not very practical. Of all the bearings I have seen, only some Toyota's have rear wheel bearings that are open and I can use this tool on. Save me a few bucks by avoiding to buy the whole hub!

My last kit disappeared, so I got this one since it was discounted, but had good reviews.Price is real good with a lot of parts. Looks good and feels heavy duty.We'll see how it stands up.Shipped and arrived quickly.

Davvero un bel kit completo con ben 36 pezzi organizzati nella loro valigetta. La qualità si nota, con pinze e colonne in acciaio rosso ad alta durezza e altri accessori in acciaio al cromo vanadio trattati per garantire durata e resistenza alla ruggine.L'utilizzo è intuitivo, basta scegliere la pinza adatta, inserirla e ruotarla per fissarla, poi estrarre il cuscinetto ruotando la vite di espulsione.

I am pleased with this puller. I needed to pull a shaft support bearing that was pressed into the case of my dune buggy transmission, there was no back side to get to. Normally I would have welded a nut to it and used a bolt to pull it out. With this kit I was able to get between the races and pull it right out. I like that when you pull from the races the pressure is split between both rings which helps the bearing pull off of shafts and out of seats easier as direct pressure is applied. This is a nice kit to have on hand and I would buy it again. 5 STARS

Das Prinzip, über einen Klemmkörper in der Lagerlaufbahn ein Lager abzuziehen, ist für mich ehrlich gesagt neu. Doch ich finde es echt pfiffig, denn in manchen Situationen kann man weder Innen- noch Außenring von hinten packen.Natürlich ist dies normalerweise eine zerstörende Demontage für das Lager, da man den Wälzkörperkäfig öffnen muss und die Ausziehkraft an den geschliffenen Laufbahnen abstützt. Doch in der Regel zieht man ein Lager ab, wenn es defekt ist und sowieso getauscht werden muss.Die Verarbeitung der Einzelteile ist jedenfalls gut. Sowohl die lagerspezifischen Kugelkopfeinsätze als auch die Haken für den Außenring sind lediglich gespant und nicht etwa geschmiedet. Wie sich dies auf die Haltbarkeit auswirkt, muss die Zeit zeigen. Mit brachialer Gewalt würde ich es jedoch nicht versuchen, wenn ein Lager einmal wirklich fest sitzt. Der Abzieher ist schnell montiert, eingesetzt und wieder demontiert. Das Fummeligste am ganzen Prozess ist, den Lagerkäfig aus dem Weg zu schaffen.Auch gut: Bei Platzmangel kann man auch statt 3 nur 2 Zugstäbe anbringen, die dann direkt gegenüberliegen.Ein 14/17 Maulschlüssel ist dabei, das ist praktisch für die drei Sechskant-Zugstäbe und für die 17er Schlüsselweite der zentralen Gewindespindel. Die ISO-Muttern für die Zugstäbe haben M10 Gewinde und 16 mm Schlüsselweite, darauf passt der Maulschlüssel also nicht. Man kann sie jedoch gegen DIN-Muttern austauschen, die bei M10 eine 17er Schlüsselweite haben. Am Ende reicht es aber sowieso, die Muttern handfest anzuziehen, man braucht also gar kein Werkzeug."Out of the box" kann man mit diesem Abzieher Lager von einer Größe bis zu etwa 80–100 mm Außendurchmesser abziehen (je nachdem, ob man in die Laufbahnen oder am Außendurchmesser greift). Da dieser Abzieher aber so flexibel ist, kann man auch statt der "Abzieherscheibe" ein ausreichend stabiles Hohlprofil verwenden, darin ein Loch für die Gewindespindel bohren, zwei für die Sechskantstäbe, braucht noch eine M15-Mutter und ist dann vollkommen frei, was den Abziehdurchmesser angeht. So einfach geht das mit anderen Lagerabziehern nicht. Auch die Tatsache, dass die "Abziehköpfe" einfach mittels M10 Gewinde in die Stäbe eingeschraubt werden, schafft Flexibilität. So kann sich der Bastler jeden erdenklichen Zieh- oder Abstützkopf auch selbst bauen und hier einschrauben.Der Preis von aktuell 62 € scheint mir noch ein wenig happig, wenn man auf das enthaltene Material und die verwendeten Fertigungstechnologien blickt. Das Set funktioniert einwandfrei und ist empfehlenswert, doch wenn man es nicht dringend braucht und mit dem Kauf etwas wartet, hat man vielleicht Glück und bekommt es irgendwann etwas günstiger.

This bearing puller is well-designed. With the external jaws, the puller works as a regular 3-jaw puller. What is unique is how the other puller heads work.First, this is a destructive removal process. The bearing that you are removing will be wasted, so don't use this puller if you want to reassemble the removed bearing. I invite you to watch the video provided by the seller to understand how the bearing puller works.Essentially, you will be removing the bearing shields, the ball bearing spacer ring, and inserting the puller heads between the balls. The heads have a flat side that allows you to insert them between the bearing races, then turn them 90 degrees to lock them in place. After that, you turn the puller shaft to remove the bearing.There is only one modification that I would like to see, but you can do it yourself. Just mark the location of the flats on the puller heads, near the threaded portion. It is crucial that the flats are turned 90 degrees when they have been inserted between the bearing races, or below them. Once they are inserted, it is difficult to see their orientation unless you mark them on the visible part of the puller heads.

Since we already have two different kinds of blind bearing pullers in the shop (a collet style and a pin style like this one), I brought in this blind bearing puller because I liked the idea of its spring-loaded puller rods.Generally, this blind bearing puller is well-packaged and the puller head pins are well-made. I cannot really tell if the copper-colored parts are some kind of enamel or anodizing, but the black parts look to be powder-coated with enamel. The threaded interface between the puller disk and the "ejector rod" (what I'd call the press shaft) is a little sloppy but the shaft does thread all the way through the puller disk until properly bottoming. I'd prefer some type of anco-style threads, but this is sufficient to pull out interference-fit blind bearings. Also while there is a ball-bearing staked to the bottom of the press shaft, the bearing is fixed and does not float or spin.The set helpfully comes with its own 17mm, 1/2" drive socket as well as an open-ended wrench for setting the puller up, which is a nice touch. Also, the set comes with a parts list should a tech lose or modify a part to work on their application.I will update this review if there is anything noteworthy to share with use.
