I think this one has a higher quality gasket around the blade. Nice and quiet, no vibration.

I have had by BLEND TEC blender for many years and the canister started to leak. I did not want to buy a new blender so by replacing the caster it works just like a new blender!

This is a great addition to my blender jars. I have the Wildside and mini Wildside and needed the Fourside for blending some smoothies. Works well.

Wow thes are pricey but well worth keeping my motor. Motor has lasted 10 years. Hopefully I get at least 3-4 years before seals go on this one.

I purchased my Blendtec Champ HP3 approximately 25 years ago (c. 1997-98). Since then, I’ve had to replace the pitcher two times—this purchase being my 2nd time (March 2022). The first pitcher leaked around the gasket, and the second one had the blade become jammed somehow. I think the wear and tear is more than acceptable within that period of time. The first attempt to order the recent replacement was a failure in that the item was lost in transit. I simply canceled and attempted to order again, and I received it within a couple days. The item was crystal clear and in new condition. However…it does not fit perfectly on the base of my blender. I don’t know if Blendtec has modified their product recently to create a slight difference of tolerance in how the pitcher fits around the base. Also, there seems to be a bit of noise where the gears fit together. I do clean this portion regularly with q-tips to remove any gunk that builds up from general use, and I did so before fitting the new pitcher in place. I filled the pitcher with water just to test it out and was disappointed to feel a lot of rattling from the gears turning the blades. With that said, I would not be surprised if over 25 years of use, the gears of the motor have worn down enough to create an imperfect grip with the gears of the blade. I can hold the pitcher steady with one hand and get minimal noises coming from the motor or gears. I have a feeling I can probably get a few more years out of my blender—maybe another ten—before it sees the end of its lifecycle. The product overall, I would grant five stars, but my purchase is only for the pitcher portion. The hiccup in ordering is one thing. However, the imperfect fit makes me wonder if I have a slightly defective pitcher, or if there has been a slight change in Blendtec’s overall design that no longer fits what I have, or if it’s just wear and tear causing the gears to not communicate 100%—and that is causing me to knock off one star. This is definitely an heirloom grade product. If I do need to replace this, I will be purchasing another Blendtec blender.

I bought my FourSide Jar when the seal on my Wildside Jar failed after three years of frequent use. I bought this as a replacement because it was just over half the price of the Wildside Jar. I'm thrilled with it. It actually works better for me than the Wildside Jar did because it's great for smaller quantities. I mostly use it for single servings of smoothies, and it does a much better job of grinding up all the frozen fruit and incorporating it. The Wildside Jar used to leave icky frozen banana bits and I had to use fresh bananas instead and then add ice. This jar will suit my needs better, and I really like the price. I was surprised to find that it could even handle five cups of nut milk, just as the Wildside Jar could. (The Wildside Jar overflowed the first time I tried making 5 cups, but I found that I could blend 4 cups first and then carefully pulse in one more cup. I do the same with the FourSide Jar.)This jar has the same type of seal and blade assembly as the other jar, so the seal will most likely fail after a couple years or so. This is a common problem with the Blendtec blender jars. So be aware that you will need to replace the jar sooner than you might hope given the high cost of this blender and its jars.
