Initially I thought this machine was a good investment. Was sold at nearly $1600 only a year ago and the dorpped price is probably sitll too high. Machine seemed like a good option for running laundry when you are going to bed or beginning work as it will wash and dry in a single cycle. However, the quality and reliability of the machine are quite poor. You have to do undersized loads to ensure the machine doesn't rock itself around and often need ot add an extra dry cycle if you are washing thicker fabrics, meaning a single load can take over 8 and a half hours.Recently, after owning this machine for about 18 months, it has stopped draining water. Apparently a defect many experience after a little over a year is the water draining pump failing, causing water to pool at the bottom of the machine until your clothes are submerged. If you follow the troublehsooting instructions they provide for this product, it will misdiagnose the problem and the untrained will spill gallons of water across their floor as the diagram does not match the machine.I consulted a local repair technician (many major appliance repair services refuse to service Black + Decker Products), he confirmed the water draining pump was the issue. There are no replacement parts on the market as the manufacturer seems to have dried the market, meaning the machine can not be repaired and is a useless hunk of steel that i have to replace, fresh out of warranty.Just buy a cheaper washer and dryer set. Even if it's more space you are spending less on your initial buy in and we know those things can last a decade. Will not make the mistake of purchasing from Black + Decker in the future

I moved the machine to the second floor so i had to get the plumbing moved also. Finally got everything connected and started using it. I am happy with the performance of both of the functions. Dry time is long as stated. Be sure that you understand that before you get one and you can live with it. It does the laundry well but slower than you are used to getting it done. I'm only doing wash for myself and am happy with it. I don't think this machine would be a good idea for more than 2 or 3 people mostly due to the load size limits and time involved for each load. Now, my biggest complaint. The owner's manual was written by one of those guys who writes verses on grains of rice at the boardwalk. Really tiny print! Strongly recommend getting a copy that is readable off the web

I had a splendia ventless washer/dryer machine, and replaced with this one after the hurricane, I absolutely love this machine. Understand though this is for a smaller than normal family loads of laundry, so if you don’t mind smaller loads this is perfect. You can install with out venting outside, so you can put it anywhere without a hole in your wall. It has a lot of cycles, you can pick one you like, that you use all the time, and it has a favorite button, just load and hit that button! You can go from a wash load, right into a dry mode in one setting. You can also wash a load and then pick a timed dryer setting. The machine itself is a stylish looking machine if you put in your apartment kitchen or where ever! It a workhorse of a machine for the money!

Unit washes well but takes longer to dry than it says. Fits into a tight space so if you don't have much room it fits and washes well but the dryer is almost pointless.

First off they need to write the book a little clearer. It has the instructions for your first run. Then later on in the book you find you have to remove 4 bolts before use lol. I gave this an F initially because the washer was vibrating so hard it was dancing across my floor. Then I found the four rubber bushinged nuts on the back. After all of this, it is a great little combo for small spaces. Would not recommend for a family so much. A couple or a single person would probably find enough size in the loads. My well produces low water and this washer is super water friendly. The dryer, well it is not vented and not 220. So it takes a bit more time. For me its design and use concept is perfect.
