This freezer is silent and only weighs about 50 pounds. It arrived dent free. As an elderly person living in a small space this little freezer is perfect for me. The estimated electricity cost is under $25.00 a year. Unpacking and set up was easy, and took me about twenty minutes total. It cooled over night and was ready for filling in the morning. I think it looks nice with flowers on top!

I was very happy with this freezer until the gasket got molded, after two years only. I thought that was a fairly easy issue to solve. I contacted customer service to change it. All I needed from them was the reference number for the item, I was willing to pay for the replacement. I’ve been in touch with them for six months, spending so much time in back and forth, and they’re unable to give me the reference number, which is what I need to order the new piece. Ive been to many local stores as well, but without the reference number none can help… I’ve been unable to use his freezer for months now, and basically I am told to throw it away and buy a new one, just because the customer service is unable to assist with this very basic request. I’m pretty disappointed, as you shouldn’t have to throw away a perfectly functioning freezer just because of a gasket…. This doesn’t make any sense. It is an ecological waste and a waste of money.

Yes other reviewers are 100% Right about the BAD SHIPPING. I Guess No One Uses Their Eyes at the Warehouse.The unit came with LARGE PRESSED IN DENTS AT THE BASE MAING THE WHOLE FRAME UNEVEN!!!!!!!Lack of instructional care. Yes in the booklet but there needs to be stickers.Must let it sit for 24 hours I was always told 72 hours but we move on. I'm guessing this is why most complain about the motor sounding crazy. I dont think they let it sit for a full 24 hours to let the chems settle down in the compressor.UnBoxing!!!! The box is lifted off and only taped on the bottom. Cut the tape then lift.Running!!!! Once plugged wait one hour before progressing to the next level of cold. 7 levels. The more you store the more the compressor will run.In short It works its not loud and will save you some $$$ if you buy in bulk. Perfect for sportfishing or meal prepingThe cost is pretty low about the price of whole chuck roll which it can hold 2 +

I don’t know how anyone can think this is silent. The motor or whatever makes an intermittent buzzing sound. If I had to be in the same room with it all the time, I don't think I could deal with it, but it's ok from a bit of a distance. It freezes fine. No temperature control, but as long as things are frozen, it doesn't matter.I previously bought the Koolatron, which made the same noise but way louder. I returned it and they sent me a new one which made the same sound as the one I returned but not quite as loud. Still too loud to have in a small apartment, though.So this Black and Decker is definitely better.

This is a very nice and very cold freezer. It's 2.0 cubic feet which is a perfect size for a single adult and those that live in an apartment or condo! I didn't want or need a huge freezer and I found this freezer on Amazon and a very reasonable price. It seems to be well made and got cold very fast after plugging it into the outlet. The freezer came professionally boxed with styrofoam. No damage on the freezer upon removing it from the packaging. I definitely recommend this product!

It's the perfect size to augment the fridge freezer in our small household. I like to buy bigger packages of meat in order to get the best price per pound, and I freeze a lot of cold packs for injuries and to keep food and medication cold when I travel. I cook a lot of foods ahead too, so the extra freezer space is perfect for food storage. The small basket is perfect for the silicone ice cubes that I use for drinks. The unit takes up very little space and plays nice with the wiring in our old house.
