We’re updating our kitchen, and the pantry unit wasn’t showing the wood grain through the paint. I added this vinyl to the sides and center panels and it looks great! Easy to use and apply
Perfect material

We absolutely love the quality of this black wallpaper! The material is excellent, durable, and looks amazing on our walls. It exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be purchasing more in the future. Highly recommended!.

I was a little skeptical as to how this would match the back wall of a black oak cheap book case I bought at Walmart ($35). The bookcase looked fine except for the inside back wall which was just a matte black piece of thick paper which I thought was not strong enough or nice looking enough (yes I should have bought a nicer model). I bought a piece of Masonite for $12 (Home Depot will cut it to size for you), and covered it with this black oak laminate - which was easy to do. No bubbles and it matches the rest of the case perfectly. I then nailed the covered Masonite to the back of the book case. The Masonite adds a lot to strength to the finished assembly and I don’t have to worry about things pushing out the back wall. This stuff was easy to work with and very much looks like real black oak.

You get what you pay for. This is my second time using contact paper and this is nothing like the quality of the other paper I purchased from Amazon. This paper is very thin and fragile. It was getting scratched up just from being installed so I know it will look terrible with regular use. Also it's not very sticky. The plus it is very pretty and has a nice texture, if only it were thicker and stickier.

Pros: thick and the texture is great for hiding seams. Looks great and the texture is 3d instead of printed. Goes a long way - I covered a small table and two filing cabinets with little bits left over even after messing up a couple times. Handles being sprayed with cleaner after installation. Not quite cons but things to keep in mind: this isn't like your normal contact paper - you really need something like a hair dryer to help apply it. This helps with both adhesion and flex.Cons: if you DON'T use a hair dryer, likely to crack around corners/edges, and will be bubbly. Doesn't like to stick to things like the bottom of furniture legs.Make sure you use a hair dryer (heat gun might be too much?) when applying. Go slow and do your best to pre-measure and plan out your sheets. Use the grid on the back for reference.

So I wanted a black wood pattern, this is not even close. It looks more of a pixelated black and gray lines.I thought it would look better after I apply it but it is not what they are advertising

I intended to cover the tops of shelves that were part of a mobile computer stand so it was necessary that the product lay flat and without wrinkles. The product was difficult to unroll as it was stored/shipped on a roll that was about 1-inch in diameter. It would not release it's shape. After unrolling the product and trimming to rough size, I attempted to back-roll the sheet to get it to lay flat so it could be more easily applied. After doing this, I noted small wrinkles throughout the sheet as shown in the pictures.I began applying the product to a shelf about 11.5” x 40” starting at the narrow end. While most of the material laid out flat as expected, the wrinkles shown did not disappear. In fact, additional wrinkles appeared. I gently lifted the material several times in and attempted to ‘work/stretch’ the product to remove the wrinkles, but they always seemed to return. And, as gentle as I was lifting the material, it was so thin, it would tear. Finally, after several attempts to get the product to look right, I finally gave up.But before removing the sheets that were applied, I wanted to test the durability of the product. I scratched the surface with my fingernail, slid a keyboard back and forth across the surface, ran a mouse around simulating use and finally placed a monitor stand on one of the shelves. In all cases, there were marks left on the surface that could not be removed. It is my opinion that, although this product appears to be made of vinyl, it is not suited for everyday use on furniture or counter tops as stated in the listing. Although the product does have great adhesion and looks like real wood-grain, it is too thin and fragile to be used in a location that may have any physical contact after application. The best description/comparison I have for this product is that it is a self-adhesive contact paper and should be used as such.
