Works very well. You might have to take apart the whole car seat to install depending on the type of car seat you have, but it works exactly as needed and it locks in place on the straps and its proof against your toddler wiggling out of it

Our sons carseat buckle broke and we were unsure how we were going to afford to replace the seat. Luckily I stumbled upon an ad that saved us a ton of money. It was easy to switch out the buckles and my son feels safe while also still being able to remove his buckles by himself.
