This stanchion set is made of plastic and, unfortunately, isn’t very durable. The plastic links break easily, and the stands don’t hold the poles securely. However, if you’re keeping this set stationary and not moving it around often, it could work just fine. The price is great for what it is, but I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy or frequent use.

Plastic quickly becomes soft in heat / sun. Poles are bending from the weight of the Plastic chains that comeswith the set. Doesn't take much to knock the poles down due to snap/ twist segment design once assembled. The base can be filled with water or sand. The poles will not withstand being moved or adjusted without coming apart even with empty bases.

Went with these because I only needed light duty, portable barriers. The poles do not attach to the base so you have to move them around by the base. The chains fall off with the slightest bump or jiggle.They were simple to assemble and snapped together easily. Some of the tube pieces had a raised edge while others did not. I couldn’t tell what they were for because they did not come with instructions. I just knew the ridged edges didn’t fit in the bases so I avoided that.Will return these and get a heavier duty set.
