The lamp is likely going back. My search had indicated hard wired with remote. This lamp was listed among a number of those with remotes and I mistakenly assumed this one did too. It is unfortunate as we liked the lamp itself.

These picture lights were perfect for our custom built-ins.Installation: quick and easyBuild quality: nice finish and pivot joints are solid.Function: lights are bright, but a little too yellow. The lights work well with a dimmer switch.I would given 5/5 stars if these had color temperature selectors.Worthy of 4.5 stars

A Stylish Warm White LED picture light is dimmable and has TWO adjustable arms, which are also adjustable at the lamp head. This unit is bright, and a dimmer is suggested to capture the perfect mood lighting. I appreciate how much this dual-arm system allows me to adjust the light angle. You will need adequate room in front of the artwork to allow for this feature.The housing's contour has squared finished ends vs. rounded or curved ends. My preference is this design as I feel it is sleeker, more modern, and does not distract the viewer from the art piece. It’s all a personal preference, and if you like a softer appearance, compare this one with a version that is not squared-off tubing. The diffuser over the LED is solid and does a perfect job at eliminating hot spots.THIS DEVICE REQUIRES BEING HARDWIRED vs. having an electrical outlet to plug into. Take that into consideration when planning how you will install this light by considering your prevailing electrical code, your location's electrical permit requirements, and the skill level of anyone installing these lights.Additionally, there is no switch on the base. This is NOT a complaint or a negative factor when considering this light. I am just pointing out that a hardwired wall switch, dimmer, or automation relay is required to complete the installation.The light pulled 10 watts of power at full brightness and emitted 270 LUX at 3’ at 2,700K to 3,000K. If you are unfamiliar with LUX readings, do yourself a favor and read the attached LUX explanation I wrote and have attached. LUX is the most accurate and easy-to-understand way to know exactly how bright any light source will be.After being illuminated at 100% brightness for an extended time, the warmest part of the lamp's housing reached a trivial 6.4 degrees F higher than the ambient temperature.The LED DRIVER is the enclosed box or module in the lamp's base that houses the transformer and circuitry to power the LEDs. A picture of this lamp's LED DRIVER is attached, and you can read all the specifications provided by the manufacturers.Important to note for United States residents is the absence of markings to signify that this device or its components are not stamped or marked UL LISTED and/or ETL LISTED. These specific marks are a product safety certification mark that indicates that a product has been tested and found to comply with North American safety standards. Contact the seller or manufacturer for questions or any additional details needed. FOR CLARIFICATION and your EDUCATION: The “RECOGNIZED COMPONENT” ETL mark visible on the LED DRIVER is defined as “An ETL Recognized Component is a part of a product that has not been evaluated to the appropriate component standard. It may also be a Listed or Recognized component that is being used outside of its evaluated Listing or component recognition.” NOTE: This product may be 100% compliant and may have been engineered to meet all required standards. Therefore, I am not implying this item is inferior in that respect.I rate this item as a 4 STAR product, the single reason being the lack of certification stating it meets North American safety standards.
