QuarkPod glow bubble mix contains organic glow dye molecules.
- The dye molecule at the ground state (a lower energy state) absorbs the energy of an ultraviolet black light photon.

Instructions of Making Bubble Solution
Blend Dish Soap and Bubble Mix
Combine 1 level tablespoon or 1 pouch (0.53 oz) of QuarkPod bubble mix with your dish soap in a large container.
- For giant bubbles: 1 cup of dish soap.
- For regular bubbles: 2 cups of dish soap.
- Use quality ultra dish soap (Dawn, Gain or Joy). Blue Dawn gives the best result. Citrus-based dish soap is not recommended.
Make Slurry
Stir hard or whisk for 1-2 mins until powder dissolves and uniform slurry forms.
Add Water
Add clean water. For the best result, use warm water (~120 °F or ~50 °C).
- For giant bubbles: 1 gallon water.
- For regular bubbles: 2 gallon water.
Stir Before Use
Stir gently to dissolve slurry. Avoid foaming. Let the solution sit for at least 30 mins. Then stir gently again before ready to use.

It’s bubble mix, but you have to add water AND soap. So basically you have a pigment (more later) and a thickener. So I’m guessing guar gum powder, and it does make bubbles, and the included packets make a ton of bubble fluid. But the stuff doesn’t glow. A bottle of it directly in UV glows a little. Bubbles glow not at all. This and Tekno bubbles are night and day. Techno bubbles are expensive but they do what they advertise.

Maybe we did it wrong? It said not to let it bubble when mixing the powder. These did not glow...?

Very little glow of following manufacturers mixing directions. Need to use 2 powder packets per 1 gallon solution to have a noticeable glow under black lights. Going back to spending more for Tekno solution, as this didn't even come close to producing same results for black light bubbles.
