* With Update...When I received this, and having read all the bad experiences some people had, I was reminded of an old adage: 'It's a poor workman who blames his tools'. Not that this bridge doesn't have some problems, but I found, that, doing some post-machining maintenance, including, thread-chasing, and lubrication with Teflon grease, did the trick.I took the entire thing apart. I cleaned all the threads free of their machining debris, lubricated them and replaced them. Next, the whammy bar. It would not stay firmly in place. After some experience with original whammy bars, I realized, that - believe it, or not - sometimes, a little lubrication will snug up the threads on a loose, ill-fitting collar. I lubricated it, replaced it, and now, it snugs up, firmly, into place without slack. But, the arm has a feature I didn't expect; a nylon bushing. That may wear out over time. I also noticed some interesting positive attributes: the base-plate is made of steel. The saddles are made of zinc, but their inserts are also made of steel - not, zinc, as would have been expected. The base-plate is the backbone of a Floyd Rose-style tremolo. Even the FRT Special has a steel base-plate (though, most people don't realize this). The knife-edges are clean and evenly machined. Other parts may be made of more inferior metals, but they are easily replaceable. The sustain block is made of zinc. The string-lock screws, saddle-lock screws, and fine-tuner screws, are all steel. I read some complaints about the fine-tuner screws feeling, 'clunky'. They did. They needed the Teflon® grease and, nothing, more. Oddly, enough, the tension plate was only partly steel, but that is not a big, stress-bearing item. It only needs to flex, under pressure, from the fine-tuner screws, and it does that. I haven't tested the anchor assemblies other than thread-tolerances. I greased those threads and found them to have a smooth, snug, fit, also. However, the unit did not fit on my Floyd Rose equipped guitar! The knife edges were father apart than the posts on My Guitar. I'll likely be using the unit for parts, and, so far - I'm not ashamed to say so! If I find something, I'll update this review....* I've found that the inter-string distances, are about a half millimeter, smaller (closer), than in the OFR. The entire unit sits, back, farther on the guitar body, than OFR. This is why the base-plate only has two rows of screw holes. Also, after some use, the whammy bar has loosened, to the point of no return. I tried using the base-plate

So close to being impressed by this, it looks great BUT the two points the bridge pivots on have burrs on them. The 3x gold locks don’t fit in the original FR locking nut. The 2x screw holes for the gold locking nut that bolt it to the neck were not drilled. $20 down the drain, waste of money.

It's honestly way better than I expected the reviews weren't the best so I was a little scared but when I got it I put it in immediately and honestly the quality is by far way better than I expected from the reviews and it works really good like exactly identical to my real floyd rose for only 20 bucks is crazy it's definitely worth it

Get what you pay for. Very soft metal and will strip out extremely easy. Saddles will not hold the string and the set screw will strip the saddle if you try to tighten it any more. It’s ok if you just need to get a guitar together, not good for long term at all.

Not a direct fit. Had to modify one part so it would fit in the guitar. For the price it's okie dokie.

The cost of the bridge is amazing considering its a high quality product with the official Floyd Rose licensing for relatively cheap. With the exception of the screws for the spring claw, the items are made with durable metal and so far, my squier stratocaster hasn’t had any extra hum or feedback due to the change. If you know how to install it yourself, great, if not, I really do recommend taking it to a guitar tech to have it installed because there’s no instructions or tips that come with it and youtube can take you far but the safest thing to do is take it to a luthier or tech. Definitely will buy again for my diy guitars.

Le doy 4 estrellas porque la palanca de vibrato queda en un ángulo muy elevado. Hay que doblarla con mucho cuidado para que no moleste.

This trem is actually a really good trem that I was originally skeptical of because of the 11 dollar price tag. The only reason this lost a star is because of the difficulty of installing, if this is your first time replacing a bridge be very careful. I retrofitted this on an old 90's Fernandes that did not have a trem but was a hard tail (so yeah I routed for it.) So if doing the same measure twice, double check, then measure again, the check again and then measure one more time and you should be good to cut.The finish and construction of it is actually really good, the cost is cut in the block and saddles where the block is pot metal and the saddles are aluminum, the string clamps, screws, pressure plate (the little piece sandwiched to give the fine tuners pressure), claw and base plate are all steel. The nut and clamps seem to be aluminum but work well. The paint is really well done as well and looks to be an industrial coat cause it doesn't scuff easy (I got the black one). The springs are a little weak so replace them and the tone block is small but replace with a new block and you're good.I have an OFR to compare it to and below is the comparison as I see it.OFR This FloydSteel base Steel baseSteel block Pot metal blockSteel clamps Steel clampsSteel screws Steel screwsSteel claw Steel clawSteel saddles Aluminum saddlesAs I said there is not much different than an OFR from the 80's or 90'sNow here is probably one of the beast things about it. This IS LICENSED under Floyd Rose Patent and says it on it, although a licensed is considered lower end for an FR the fact they had enough similarities in construction tells you it should be comparable to something like a FR Special. The only con is it does not come with the bar that goes behind the nut. My guitar had an angled head stock so I didn't need it but if you are fitting this on a strat style guitar then those have flat head stocks so plan on buying the bar too. This is a great product for the price and yes I will be buying another one to have as a spare.
