The old 1965 Melroe M500 skid steer is in need of an “engine transplant.” Not bad, considering it is almost 60 years old. While changing the engine, all of the other components are also being upgraded. This pulley is part of the process. I can’t speak to performance at this time, but the pulley interfaced well with the “new” engine, (ie, second-hand) and other components and it seems smooth, symmetrical and well-balanced. If, down the road, I find that it doesn’t stand up to the wintery demands of the skid steer, I will come back and update this review.

No complaints about the appearance or performance of this pulley -- the finish is smooth and runout is reasonable. I'm giving it 4 stars because there is some wobble in the non-functional areas of the pulley and there are no areas machined off for balancing; these two put together lead me to believe it possibly isn't actually balanced at the factory. I don't have a way to actually check the balance and the pulley is a small enough diameter that it may not be critical; of the pulleys I have, only larger (6+") ones have obvious indications of balancing.
