I used this for unloading a riding mower (around 250 lbs) from the back of my truck. It worked beautifully with two 8 foot pine boards, and I unloaded by myself!

Sturdy enough to support my 54 z-turn. Just added some 2*8*8s. Only complaint is the mouth opening for the 2* is not big enough for a 2* to fit in. Had to trim the board down for it to fit in the opening.

The ramps are easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. They worked great for getting my lawn tractor in the bed of my truck. I used 8ft. boards to make mine.

Just what I needed to complete my ramp. Works perfectly.

Works great. I’m using US standard pressure treated 2 x 8 lumber, the aluminum extrusions match up just fine.If I was to do it over, I probably would have gotten the set for 2 x 10 lumber, just for the extra 2 inch leeway on wheel placement. But for my limited and occasional use the 2x8 will do fine.

Rubber footings had to have screws, not included to be secure . Other than that, a good product.

Price was fair and shipping was reasonable. I should have just ordered two nice folding aluminum loading ramps to begin with instead of attempting to make my own with this kit. After going to the local lumber store and getting a long 2 X 6 and cutting it in half, then installing the aluminum brackets on the end of each board, it would not work because the bracket would not let the board be at the correct angle to make the ramps work. Instead of going back to the lumber store and getting a longer 2 X 6 so the ramp boards would be longer, I finally gave up and ordered a set of aluminum loading ramps that were already put together. Problem solved.

Like other reviewers, I was a little confused by no assembly suggestions or even a picture of the finished product so I came back to the reviews. I studied Robert Lee Allen Jr.'s post and committed to assembling my ramps the same way but I ended up needing the ramps quicker than anticipated, so I had to simply get them done. The verdict: They DO assemble correctly, as they are, without special alterations. I do dislike how the lip on the metal plate doesn't "bite" into the wood like Robert Lee Allen has his. But, with plates bolted, and stress on the plate/board, pressure squeezes it all together quite well. And the plate/board connection is fairly seamless. It isn't as pretty but it works. Same thing for the rubber feet. You don't need to saw off a small portion of your board to have the feet seat properly. Just use a rubber mallet a couple taps work them on. Then, use two or three deck/drywall/etc. screws on the other side of the feet as well. If you don't, the feet can pop off and can hang like a loose tooth. Secure them properly. The only other alteration I made was adding a fat, 4" strip of 80 grit anti slip tape. This is a must for my rainy Pacific NW climate.Other than the assembly questioning, my box was destroyed by the post office and the hardware fell out. The company sent me a $8 refund, which was fair. I went an bought strong, galvanized carriage bolts, washers and nuts which looks like they may have actually been better than what is provided in the kit. A bit of a hassle to have to purchase them but it wasn't really the sellers fault and I got a hardware upgrade. Maybe consider doing the same even if you get their hardware.
