This carrier was not as sturdy as I had hoped it would be but there was no time to order anything else. The perch did not fit too well in the grommets even with the washers, really needs a redesign in this area. The piece for the "floor" is pretty flimsy too, and there is no place to secure a seed cup or water cup for transport. I do not recommend for birds larger than a parakeet. We needed something to transport our parakeet that would offer some protection from cold air while we were moving in Dec and this did tick off that requirement. It will be useful for trips to the vet. I did figure out how to secure the perch and fit a water cup inside, had to just set the seed cup on the floor for our three day car trip.
