About Hex Nuts
Hex nuts are used to match screws and bolts to help secure items. They have a hexagonal body whose flat portion can be grasped with a wrench for turning to tighten and loosen in a fastening application. For ease of assembly and disassembly, hex or hex nuts are the most common types of nuts. Hex nuts are measured in metric or imperial units. Common sizes include internal thread size and pitch width of the span.
