After carefully reviewing feedback and examining photos shared by others, we decided to make a $140 purchase, hoping the product would be as effective as the reviews suggested— even if it was just for a one-time use.We recently used the thatcher to tackle our backyard over the long weekend, and the results were beyond our expectations.Our backyard is 7,200 sq/ft, and we collected 45 bags of thatching debris, totaling 1,350 gallons. The transformation of our St. Augustine grass was incredible— a result we never anticipated when starting the project. We set the thatcher to #4 as to not destroy the St Augustine root system.This product is an excellent value, offering great performance at a competitive price. The results were phenomenal, and we’re thoroughly impressed.As noted by others, the bagger is on the smaller side, and it filled up every 20 feet. While it required frequent emptying, it wasn’t an issue, as the size was perfect for fitting into the 30-gallon yard bags.For those looking to avoid excess raking, I highly recommend keeping the bagger attached. It minimizes the amount of debris left behind, reducing the need for additional cleanup after use.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it to others.

My lake flooded and killed 3/4 of my lawn. This did a great job getting the dead thatch off and then tilling 1/4 inch deep to overseed. I used the some of the thatch to then lightly cover the seeds. Yes it's plastic and you have to use an extension cord but for the price it did a fantastic job. It was incredibly lightweight and easy to use.

I bought this machine/tool not expecting too much but it surprised me, this little machine is good. I tried to rake my lawn (a lot of dry grass) by hand and quickly realized that I needed help so I bought this machine without high expectations, I'm happy with how it works and how easy it is to operate. Now, the bag is worthless, it doesn't hold much and the machine is not very good at kicking the dried grass into the bag. Other than that, this thing works!

Works very well. Have used two days straight-No issues so far .Easy to use, lightweight, easy to swap out blades.Wish it was a bit wider, but if you shop around- the wider ones cost a lot more- small potatoes.Glad I bought it!

I previously had a SunJoe Dethatcher Scarifier, but it broke the first time using it. So, I was leery of this product, but I decided to give it a try. To my amazement, it worked wonderfully and rolled over the lawn with ease. I set it to the highest setting and it brought up plenty of thatch to allow my lawn to breathe. I highly recommend this product.

This small but mighty scarify and dethatcher is great. Would I like a wider deck ? Well sure but this just gets more steps in for me. Lol.Very light weight to work with but the blades work fantastic. Changing from one blade to the other is so simple. While the debris bag is nice it fills quickly so slows down the progress. I chose to just dethatch without the bag and then use my lawn mower to pick up the thatch. I also chose to rake up any remaining to get a good clear lawn.Assembly took me a whopping 10 minutes! It folds up quite compactly and can be put in a small space until the next use.I was hesitant about purchasing this unknown machine but glad I did. Fyi...this little guy and I did my 7000 foot lawn in an hour and 20 minutes. Dethatching, grass catching, raking and aererating. Well worth the buy at a ridiculously low cost and will make my twice a year chore so much easier.
