This lead works well. i think some people don't realize that if lead is too brittle it does not write well and breaks too much. I am happy with the purchase and couldn't beat the price.

Absolutely amazing value for the price. "Name brand" lead was about the same price for just ONE little container of lead. Very pleased with my purchase. Erases well, but does create an indent in the paper since the lead is so fine, at least in my experience. Very pleased with my purchase. Would purchase again, but I'm sure I'll have lead for at least a year or so. (:

My RamblingsI love pencils, mechanical pencils, and it’s nice to find a s-load of lead cheaply, that doesn’t break constantly, and writes decently.The Good StuffI’m heavy handed when it comes to writing and have a tendency to press really hard, so having lead that doesn’t snap every other letter is absolutely needed. This lead is holding up to my abuse, plus leaves nice, dark lettering. Anywho, I like it and would buy again. Oh, and did I mention how inexpensive it was? It was cheap!!!Who May Use/Like ItThose needing lead that will hold up to some pressure and writes well as well (or should I have used too?).Me Final ThoughtsMe be happy and was pleasantly surprised.That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The .5mm 2B lead from Bild is buttery smooth, doesn't’ break easily, and is sold at a great price. Other lead at this price point is generally squeaky and/or brittle, while name-brand lead is much more expensive.

Bought to use in the Papermate Pencil 2 and I love these lead sets better than the ones that came in the papermate! These are exactly the good shape, they write softer and they are lighter which is great because the originals were too dark and bled all over the sheets and my hands. Adore these! They are the best!

I ordered the HB 0.5mm. It feels softer than Pentel but works just fine. It's much cheaper than other brands so that was a big plus. It came with some colored lead which is soft and broke whenever I tried to use it, regardless of length. I would have given 5 stars if the colored lead was not included.

Product description clearly states several times that you are supposed to get 4 packets of 24 black leads (total 96 black leads) and 6 coloured ones.Only 3 packets arrived (total 72 black leads) and 6 coloured ones.
