Good starter kit if you don’t have one already. Going to need more gloves as they are single use. We didn’t find the chain scrubber to be worth the hassle. We do like the brush set.The cleaning fluid is adequate. Old socks or cut up rags are good for the first half as they can be thrown out.

This kit absolutely presents in a less than ideal way. The components are cheap feeling and looking. However I had none of the supplies, lubricant or cleaner and wanted to only have to buy one kit. As a jumping off point or for someone who isn’t really sure what they need (of course I do now), I think it’s a decent set.I have been pulling my kids bikes out and they all needed some tune ups for spring in one way or another. This kit has gotten us cleaned and running smoothly again.This isn’t a well made kit. It’s below average in terms of quality. However, if you need a one stop kit with some basics for a time or two, this will get the job done. I also felt like after using this kit I learned what I do and don’t need plus I know what to spend more on in the future.

Great set up. Easy to use and excellent cleaning power.This kit has everything. I used it on my family’s six bikes at once and it held up.Works well. Makes what I would consider an unpleasant task a bit easier.

____ The Good: ____* The included degreaser is effective.* This includes three gear brushes as well as the typical gear hook. The three-sided brush that goes around the chain is great for my needs as I'm currently bike commuting through winter slop.* I'm gonna give the chain lube a pass based on value alone. I ride in a climate where it's often too wet for wax-based lubes to be ideal, and this current winter it's not even worth me trying. Maybe at the end of spring._____ The Huh? ____* It always seems weird to me that these kits include one rag and one pair of nitrile gloves. The gloves are single use, and you are going to use the rest of the kit multiple times, so the inclusion is odd. Any chain cleaning cloth is going to last at most a handful of clean and lube cycles before becoming unusable no matter how strongly you launder it. It would honestly make more sense to either include multiples of both or to include neither and suggest that you supply your own.____ The Bad: ____* The chain scrubber device is not helpful for me. Due to the angle of the handle, and the use of gravity to hold the interior brushes in place while snapping it onto a bike chain, you cannot use this to clean a chain on a bike you have turned upside down -- you absolutely need a work stand. Even when I got the bike up on my basement workstand (which is currently freezing because winter) the resultant scrubbing was not as good as just using the brushes and a cloth.

I have a big heavy E bike that I often take off road so gets muddy and dirty quick. Cleaned up my chains very good and was able to re lubricate them to help maintain and restore my pedal feeling

Whoever made this kit should be ashamed of themselves. I don't think I could expect any less if I bought a bike chain cleaning kit from Dollar Tree!The main item in the kit is a bike chain cleaning mechanism that's supposed to scrub the chain as the chain runs through it. The plastic feature some of the worst quality molding I've ever seen. It's difficult to open and it must be opened every time a new chain is loaded. There are sharp edges and flashing, and I was never able to get the mechanism to work smoothly.As far as the other items, they aren't much better. There are a few scrub brushes that are the kind of cheap junk I'd expect to find it a dollar store. There is a bottle of chain degreaser that I will probably at least continue to use, though it doesn't seem any better than other degreasers that cost a couple dollars for a bottle. A bottle of chain lubricant is also included, but I prefer to use a dry Teflon use so I won't use this anyhow.Frankly, this entire kit with the exception of the bottle of degreaser and maybe one chain brush will likely end up in the garbage. Maybe it would be worth considering if priced in the $20 price range, but at the current price range of around $50 This is nothing that resembles a good value.
