This press is hard to beat for the price. The metal structure does have some flex to it. So if you’re working on something really heavy duty I would recommend the next size bigger. However I’ve been using on 3/4 and 1 ton pick up parts with no problems. A bonus is it’s relatively small so it’s easy to put out of the way when you’re not using it.

Aside from the fact that parts were missing and they had to send me another one, this thing is just bad. It has too much play in the travel of the piston to be useful for much of anything. Don't know what other people are using this for, but its sketchy and pretty useless for me.

This is a nice press. Easy to assemble. As soon as I had it set up, I was off. I had a couple tractor 3 point members that were bent by the previous owner and felt it worth it to try to straighten them out instead of buying new ones. This did the job! I’m quite happy with it.A few things to note. First, it’s a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Not that this is a concern, but for some reason I was expecting something a little taller. Second, it comes in the manufacturer’s box, which makes sense. But the box had been pretty beat up and in the process some of the hardware was lost. Everything else was there. I just had to supplement the hardware using my own. Third, the return springs are a little too long IMHO. When completely at rest, there’s still chrome seen on the piston as it’s not fully retracted. While this is not an issue, I think it would improve the design. I might fix that by shortening the hooks that are installed on the lower cross member.Finally, it would be nice if there were pins/hooks to support the plates while not in use that come with the press. Maybe a means of hanging the bar as well would be good. Regardless, this is a nice press for my shop at a great price.

I am disappointed in this product. First off is the packaging. Pieces are powder coated, but there is no protection between, therefore causing wear spots in powder coating during shipping. This product is advertised as a floor model……..4 feet high from top to bottom……making your working area starting at around 3 feet and below. Unless you plan on being on your knees to use, or building a stand for it to sit on, I would suggest buying a different one. The other issue I have is with the jack itself. When I received, the jack had leaked oil, and not out of the fill plug. This tells me the seals are not seated proper and could lead to failure of product. Overall I am disappointed in this product and its functionality strait out of the box. With building a base to lift height of working area to a starting height of 4 feet, instead of the 3 feet, I feel will make this product more user friendly

J'ai reçu la presse, il manquait des vis et des boulons dans le paquet... Comme c'est très lourd j'ai essayé d'éviter un retour.J'ai constaté le fabricant pour du support pour pieces manquantes avec le lien indiqué par Amazon.Je n'ai eu aucune réponse du fabricant et ça fait 3 semaines. Je dois allé m'acheter de la quincaillerie pour compléter l'assemblage, c'est inacceptable!

Should have listened to all the negative reviews on the packaging. Like many reviews pre this one, package looked like it had been dropped several times. No hardware in package.After purchasing all new grade 8 fasteners assembly was a breeze, finish seems to be good, although many scratches on it from shipping.For those considering a 12 ton press, know that the actual overall size is quite small, Similar to HF’s 6 ton press. Piston attached is is poor and lacking. Takes several pumps to actually fit Ram into alignment pocket. Jacking handle is two pieces of lightweight tubing crimped just enough to hold the two pieces together.plan on making some modifications, ie: adding some plates on sides rails to better guide rail, making a better jack handle, and welding upper rail to side rails for better stability.One would think that after so many negative reviews that the manufacturer would address the issue. All in all bit a bad piece of equipment, but plan on picking up your own hardware, and making some modifications for ease of use and stability.Honestly for the cost I would have been better off getting the HF unit.

First the bad : The box was beat up, the hardware bag broke inside of the box and some fasteners are missing. The assembly instructions are pretty much a exploded view picture, not much detail, difficult to figure out what nut and bolt combination that they showed.THE GOOD: heavy duty, nice paint, everything lined up and went together like it should have.

First the shop press I received is not the one pictured above. When I called Torin to ask about it their answer was they sell two jacks with the same model number that are different. How does that make any sense.. The one I received doesn't have the two stabilizing bars on it. When it showed up it was missing one of the Arbor plates, after calling Torin three times I finally received the extra arbor plate I was missing. Then when I tried to use the damn press the pressing plate that actually presses into the part bent on me. So back to the phone I went, this time it took two calls to get what I needed and now I'm sitting here with a broken press waiting on another part to come in. Once this plate comes in I will be reselling this press and getting something better. Also, the bottle jack itself doesn't work well, It never returns to the up position and you are forced to push it back up to the top of the press. Very frustrating and Ive dealt with Torin before and had issues with their Transmission jack. I will not be buying another Torin product unless they drastically improve their quality control.

Great little press. And no problem with assembly, or bolt fits. However, the box came to the hous pretty beat up, and all taped up too, and missing the jack handle... Having put it together before I discovered the loss, I was not inclined to take the thing apart, then find a new box for the heavy thing, to get a refund/replacement. After all, it otherwise works great.Instead of voicing my problem to the manufacturer Torin (which seems to have frustrated a few other customers), I contacted Amazon directly, who handled the ship out anyway (BTW the shipping was free on Prime, UPS Ground, 3 days to my door). A mere hour later I got a nice email back from Amazon saying they'd refund a significant 30% of the whole cost to me, that I could then go buy a handle locally.That is customer service!! ...and renewed my faith in Amazon and the "process"... As well, the press is beefy for its class, operates very well, and now I can go get a handle. The initial plan was for 4 stars, minus 1, down to 3 stars for the handle. Instead, I went from 4, up to 5 stars -- for solving the problem so well, AND providing a good press.Truly - I recommend the unit. If the buy goes awry though - go straight to Amazon, who is going to help you, quickly, and I bet, to your satisfaction -
