Upgraded my old Hydraulic press with this. I just installed a foot pedal as well. This jack has a little bail that holds the hand valve open. I added a 3' air hose, and connected the foot pedal. Now I have foot control to make the ram put 20 tons of power on anything in the press. Works wonderfully.

I should have bought one of these year's ago. You need a good supply of air to run it. I paid more for this brand, hope its worth it.

I bend 1/4” flat stock steel in different widths a lot and it has a fast piston travel time, even under load! Its savings in time is very important to me! For the money, I couldn’t complain a bit! I may even buy another but let’s see if things go south first…I have only had it a week.

Wonderful capability. Jacked up a motor home so I could remove and get repaired a heavy, heavy tire. My lesser jacks incl. a 12 tonner which couldn't lift high enough and did not assure confidence in stability. Placed Big Red on an 8" x 8" block and it did the trick without having to crank a lever 50-100 times. It now has pride of place in my collection of jacks. Worthwhile purchase.

I've purchased three of these units and I still have my original one from years ago. I use them daily and they take a beating. I unfortunately lost one a few weeks ago as it gave up the ghost under rigorous punishment, however, for the price point, they are affordable to replace and you will easily recoup your money back if you use them as much as I do. Are there more durable and higher cost models out there? Sure. Will you sulk if this one konks out after a year or two or maybe 5? Probably not since you probably spent more on a nice dinner and some drinks. I have heavy 43000 lb loads under these and not one failure while under the weight. I'll continue to purchase these as I need them in the future.

I bought this air/hydraulic bottle jack to replace a malfunctioning jack of another manufacturer. When I received this jack it worked perfectly. So good in fact, I decided to purchase an additional air motor directly from Torin, so I could attach it to my malfunctioning jack. I attached the ordered Torin air motor to the other jack and turned on the air trigger. Nothing. So then I removed the Torin air motor from this Big Red jack and put it on the other jack. Still nothing. And when I reattached the original Torin air motor to Big Red, no it wasn't working either!Contacing the company was useless. I guess it was a language barrier, because they could not understand my description of what was occurring. I could not find an answer anywhere on the internet. Checked on several forums, and elsewhere, no one had ANY helpful information. I ended up figuring out the screw at the base of the jack with a red plastic cap marked "DO NOT REMOVE" was actually an air-bleed screw. When I activated the air trigger, while turning this screw, the jack began to work again! And when I went back to the malfunctioning jack and did the same, it also began to work correctly! Customer service should be ashamed of themselves!

I've had 2 of these jacks. First one showed up and it didn't work. Second one showed up and it worked great up until this year. When I went to use it, it will not raise in manual or with the air pump. It looks like there is oil seeping out from around the bottom of the cylinder tube. Not sure how this can happen, but it makes the jack unusable.

Updated review. Do not buy these jacks. Go buy Harbor Freight jacks before you even think about these. As the rest of my review states, they do not last long. (Read review for more info). So I’ve now contacted the company that makes them, no response; contacted Amazon warranty, no response; went through Amazon chat and was told that I’d be paying for return shipping as well as a 20% restocking fee for broken jacks that cannot be “restocked”! I’m now out over $400 and have to buy more jacks because my business is semi truck tires. Figured these would be good considering the price. I was horribly wrong and now I’m out to prevent anyone else having this issue.I bought two of these jacks back in May of this year (2021). Not even 4 full months later and both are basically dead. They both leak oil, they both continue to slowly pump up while hooked into air without the trigger being pushed and one completely died on me today. I use these for semi tire work and the one today couldn’t even hold up a 5th wheel camper. I had to continue to apply air to it so it would hold it up long enough for me to finish mounting the tire.I’ve been in this business for over 20 years and have never had jacks go bad on me so quickly. Sad to say even harbor freight 20 tons held up longer than these did for half the price.
