i tried 2 bags and both the same , it wont stay lit more than 15 - 20 minutes without fanning it, stay away

Why would you pay $60 on Amazon when it costs $24.95 at your local Big Green Egg dealer? This charcoal has a neutral flavor profile, takes a bit longer to light, but burns hotter than the green bag. Don't be a goof and stop by/call your local BGE dealer to order the charcoal. Most likely they'll ship 2 bags (with s/h) for close to the price of one bag on Amazon.

I cannot recommend this charcoal. No flavour. What did Green Egg think to sell this under their name ?The original Green Egg coal is very good, and look out for Querebracho coal which is also very recommended

I have owned an XL Big Green Egg since 2010 and I have always used the BGE charcoal until recently. What I once paid $25 per bag for is now $60 plus shipping which is about the same amount. The last bags I received were mostly small broken pieces and not many chunks. It is not worth it any more. Covid 19 closed the closest egg store and on line ordering is too expensive so I am now using a different product. It is time for a positive change in quality for BGE Charcoal.

Gosh this stuff is garbage. The regular egg charcoal is hot or miss but this stuff is complete garbage. Literally smoked out the entire neighborhood for the entire time the full load lasted which was only about 45 minutes. I would not use this if I was paid to. Hell i wouldn’t even use this in a fire pit it had so much smoke. 👎🏻
