My grandson loves this excavator. Easy to set up and operate, allowing him to get to the job site and start building. The hard hat works best with a hoodie, otherwise it is very loose and uncomfortable. The vest adds to the realism. Only thing missing is an orange cone. Highly recommend.

Love this Big Dig! Both my 2 and 7 year old could use this with ease- and they both loved it! Fits well- I would say anywhere from age 2-9ish? Probably best for 3-6! We brought this to the beach in multiple occasions and it becomes a big hit with all of the kids. There is usually a line of kids waiting to use it. lol Great for sandbox, backyard, or playground as well. Great quality, easy to assemble, all parts included. Beautiful colors and has held up in weather for the last 8 months.

My 4 year old grandson (and his 2 year old brother) love this. He sits on the seat that swivels. There are 2 arms: one that raises the bucket arm up and down, and one arm that rotates the bucket. He was using it in the house to pick up toys the day he got it. A few days later my son sent of video of him in his sand box outside using the the excavator like a pro. I couldn't believe how expertly he used it. Kids learn so fast. It's great for their coordination. To clarify, the 2 yr old is not as adept because he has to reach farther. I don't recommend it for a 2 yr old. But your 4 year old will love it! I spent a few extra dollars for the vest and helmet but my grandson doesn't wear them.

We bought this for our son when he was about 2 years old. He's 7 now and it has gone through another wild child since then. This excavator was purchased to be used in an unused dirt pile and it has been a favorite of our 2 boys ever since. It has been used with a wide range of kids from age 2 to age 12 so far. It has held up beautifully over the last 5 years of owning it. No rust, no maintenance, nothing.It has weathered the elements very well. We have left it outside in all types of weather and it is still going strong. Our second son, now 4, is the primary user of it. He drags it all over the yard and it has not broken yet. Believe me when I say, he is rough on everything in our home. It was also easy to put together for my engineer husband so I can't take credit that.For how inexpensive this toy is it will bring your kid’s years of satisfaction and ease to your wallet. The most amazing part is that it gets them outside. So, get something for them to dig and buy this today! You won’t be sorry!
