Ride in the dirt and mud? Then you need this tool! This style of chain cleaning brush will get those heavy chunks off nicely with less effort than other brushes I've used. I've used this brush a ton and it's great. The other part that is awesome if the little brush and scraper. The scraper is really nice to get dirt clods off your fenders in areas that are hard to reach. Would recommend!

The brushes do well, but the plastic wrenches broke on me on the first use. Sort of on the cheap side. I would recommend getting this if you just need brushes but the whole kit I would give it a 3 stars just on quality.

I don't really have anything to compare this to. This is the first chain brush I have purchased. I used these to clean some dirt bike chains. Worked just fine. It helped me scrub the chain without damaging the o-rings. It was much better than using just a rag.The plastic bristles are easy on the o-rings. I really like that it came with two brushes. Plastic held up just fine with the kerosene. Washed it out when finished and it is ready to go for next time. I haven't even used the blue brush yet.Size-wise, the red and blue appear to be identical. It also has a 3rd brush for getting in to tighter spaces.

Although these brushes are your typical chain cleaning brushes, they are definitely too big for bicycle chains. The are too wide so you cannot scrub both sides of the chain at once. They work, but not nearly as good as brushes designed for just bicycle chains.The other brushes that come in the pack are useful to get at hard to reach places on your bicycle drive train. I took a chance because I did see that they were motorcycle chains but the description also used the word “bike.”I gave it 3 stars only because of the large size. But again, I did see “motorcycle” and took the chance.

The kit is labelled for cleaning both motorcycle and bicycle chains. To accommodate both chains, the heads of the 3 direction brushes has to be big enough for a motorcycle chain, and at the expense of cleaning the bicycle chain. Thus, each stroke of this 3 direction bristles won't hit 3 sides of the bicycle chain, but will only hit two sides of the bicycle chain. So it will only take another set of strokes to clean the other two sides. Both this 3 direction will be much easier to clean a bicycle chain than an old toothbrush. The other end of this 3 direction brush and the other two brushes in this tool kit are better for cleaning the rear cog cassette. They have long bristles for cleaning between the cogs. There is even a scrapper for scraping stuck on stuffs between the cogs. This tool kit is mainly good for surface gunk. For a cleaning of the internal surfaces of the chain, the chain will need to be immersed and soaked in cleaning solution, and even agitated while in cleaning solution. Happy cleaning.

When you make something that is supposed to work on everything from a bicycle to a Harley, there will be compromises. I got these to clean my Shimano SRAM 11 speed setup. The brushes do an admirable job of removing greasy dirt from the chain and it is pretty easy to get all four sides. It would have been nice if they were sized for my skinny little chain and you could get three sides at once. The cassette cleaner is almost too big width wise to use on an 11 speed cassette, and likely wouldn’t work at all on a 12 speed. This set came with a red brush and a blue brush. Other than the color, I detect no difference between them. You would have thought ‘one large and one small’ or ‘one stiff and one soft’ but, no, they seem the same. Whining aside, this set helps me maintain my bike the way I like at a reasonable price.

I've been looking for brushes like this for a while; indoor cycling has forced me to clean my chain more often than usual. These brushes work great for cleaning the wax off of my bike. It is great only to have to apply a degreaser and turn the pedals backward, while the additional brushes work great on cleaning the cassette. I'll continue to use it and report back if there are any problems.

Honestly, not the highest quality brushes, but these tend to not last all that long anyway. Big motorcycle chains and solvents are tough on brushes. The nice thing about this kit is it comes with two brushes (maybe one for cleaning, one for rinsing, who knows?) Given this fact, they'll last a little longer. The kit is a decent deal, so I'm happy with the outcome.
