I needed a precisely-fitting woodscrew/machine screw combination in just the right thread, length and thickness for a specific project, and these fit the bill perfectly. See photos for the finished projects.I'm disabled - and have walked with a cane for 25 years. But - have wanted to create a special custom cane for myself. I love a brass raven's head handle, but the only canes I could find with that handle are collapsible ones, which I do NOT like. And so - bought a couple brass raven's head handles, a couple of very solid crook-necked cans, cut off the crooks, drilled out the top of the cane, set the hanger bolts in place both in the wooden cane and in the raven's female mounting cavity - which is EXACTLY this precise thread - and now have myself a pair of very handsome canes, thanks to these well-engineered, precisely accurate hanger bolts!

i used them to mount EUFY battier cameras using wing nut adapters (nut & wing ) made together so when i have to remove cameras all you do is unscrew the wing nut and take base inside for charging

Hanger bolts are an oddity in the hardware world, IMO. But VERY useful. The key is to get the driver that fits the machine threaded part to install the wood screw part. This combination and a driver works like a charm.
