18° gray card
Gray card, generally refers to 18% reflectivity gray card. Since the camera exposure is based on 18% reflectance, we used gray card metering to get the correct exposure. Another use of the gray card is to define white balance. Because of the above correct exposure values, the white balance information carried by the gray card is correct.
White card
The white card is basically used to define the white balance. Because the white card has the characteristics of convenient material acquisition, a piece of white paper can often be used instead. The correct exposure of the white card makes the image noise for defining the white balance very small, which is very helpful for definition. However, the correct exposure of the white card is more difficult than the gray card. Generally, it is recommended to use the gray card to define the white balance. Why can both gray cards and white cards be used to define white balance? Because both are R=G=B. That is, as long as the color cards of R=G=B can define the white balance, only in this way can the white balance information carried by them be separated.

En verdad me gustaría escribir que funciona al 100% pero no...el lado gris te manda siempre hacia colores aceitunados y el blanco tiende a los colores magenta. Eso si...balanceas y todas saldrán de la misma manera y con una acción(Ps) la mayoría las re-balancearas de nuevo. Pero se ve más profesional que andar con una tela blanca o una hoja tamaño carta.

It's a good quality product, easy to use and well made. the grey is fine but the white is not a clean white, but I've used it and it's been fine

The 18% card seems to be accurate and with my Canon SL2 I get perfect exposure and white balance every time. Just fantastic.

works like a charm. It's not meant to be folded up after the fact, wish I knew that. Also wish it was a bit smaller so it could fit perfectly in the laptop slot. It has to squeeze into a 15 inch laptop slot.
