Heard about this style of tool from a YouTube video, super expensive Toyota tool. This does the same thing for short money. The nice thing about this is it works in tight spaces where you can't get other tools.

Sometimes in life, the right tool can turn a laborious car repair into a pit stop worthy of applause. Enter the BESULEN Vehicle CV Boot Clamp Pliers—an oddly specific but utterly indispensable gem in the car maintenance toolkit. Crafted from alloy steel and sporting a mysteriously alluring black finish, these pliers are the unsung hero for anyone faced with the daunting task of wrestling with CV boot clamps. This tool doesn't just perform; it excels with the grace of a ballet dancer and the precision of a surgeon. The ergonomic grip is a blessing, making you feel like the pliers are an extension of your own industrious hands. Whether you're a weekend warrior under the hood or a professional mechanic, the simplicity of locking a CV boot clamp with this tool is almost insulting—press, turn, and voilà, the job’s done. It’s like having an extra set of hands that never complain. However, every hero has its kryptonite. In the case of the BESULEN pliers, it's the assumption that all users are familiar with the delicacies of CV boot clamp warfare. New users should heed this: a quick YouTube tutorial wouldn’t hurt before diving in. But once you've cleared that minor hurdle, it’s smooth sailing. These pliers are not just a tool; they're a ticket to breezing through what used to be a knuckle-grazing chore.

Not a frequently used banding tool, but the alternatives we have used are inferior to this one. tools like this allow us to do the job right the first time.

According to the page listing, this tool is supposed to safely remove the pinch clamps on drive axle dust boots. Other than holding it firmly in place, I'm not entirely sure how it helps accomplish this.I thought it might use pinching force to perhaps shear the pinch clamp section off, but this doesn't work for me. When the tool is tightened completely, there's a small gap remaining in the fingers that fit into the pinch part, and only serves to pinch the clamp tighter together.I did not try working the tool back and forth when clamped in order to "wear break" the steel. Nor did I try twisting it any - both of these ideas arrived after that first failed attempt. Since this tool came with no directions, I was left to my own devices to figure out its usage.I should give it a lower rating than I have, but it does actually make a nice, tight pinch on these clamps, so is useful for that. Also, being unable to figure out the proper way to use it, gives me hope there's a simple trick to get it working as it should.I very much dislike admitting not understanding how to use a mechanical tool, but sometimes the truth is painful. I hope to get another chance to use it, and have better success.
