This heat exchanger is a bargan i was unsure if it would be big enouph to use for hot water to my water heater with my outdoor boiler, but I have very hot water and as much of it as i need now it definately will keep up with my water heater actually far exceeds my actual gas water heater. I will buy another one when my bathroom in my polebarn is finished and debated having one for a shop hot water spigot for washing equiptment.

Was not sure if I was going to regret buy this since all the other versions like this were way more money. But gave it a shot and wow this thing it stout and built like a tank for what it does it’s footprint is really small a coil radiator style heat exchange would need much more area and still need a fan do do it’s thing and doesnt get close. I used this to exchange heat from air compressor pump as an after cooler and refrigerated coolant and wow pistol grip thermometer caught it coming in at 205-210 and leaving at 78 I’d say that is successful 👍👍 (dried air... Cheaply executed )

Working brilliant, heating water very fast. Using from stove to hot water cylinder and to water underfloor heating to heat my house. Very big 40 plates, bigger then another sellers is selling only 10-30 plates. After I fixed first heater exchange, I bought another 2, I will fit one more to get even more efficiency, so I can use less woods and coil. Will keep third one for spare in the future if I need to replace. Highly recommend!

I use this product to cool the wart of my beer. I have to admit it exceeded expectations! With my ground temperature water, it was able to cool down 6 gallons of 210 degree wort to 65° in under 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it! This thing got it done so fast it was ridiculous. Highly recommend it. Be aware of that you have to be very fastidious in your cleaning after cooling your wort.

Haven’t used the chiller yet but noticed that the brackets are way too short. Pain in the rear to use spacers. Shouldn’t need to use spacers. I ll update the actual product when I use it.

I use this as a wort chiller. When I switched from an 8 gallon kettle to a keggle, my copper coil was physically too small to use and still have the connections outside of the kettle. After I had a hose blow off my coil and get tap water in my nearly chilled wort, I decided to find a better way.The nice thing about a plate chiller is that it is so small that you don’t need to handle or store it. I have mine clipped right next to my kettle, and all I have to do when I want to use it is hook up my hoses. I’m going to exbeeriment with using it during my eBIAB mash to heat sparge water to mash temps. As far as cleaning goes, I’ve found that it really helps to alternate back and forward flushing hot PBW through it until it runs clear, then repeat with water. Time will tell how clean it stays. As far as performance, it gets my 5 gallon batch of wort from boiling, down to pitching temps in about 30 minutes on tap water. I was hoping for faster cooling than that, but I’m going to tweak my technique a little and see if I can avoid recirculating it back into my kettle. If I set it up right, it should come out at pitching temperature. That should shave some time off my brew day.
