I've purchased other products like this before and they rusted and whoever was sitting in the chair fell suddenly when the rust went through and the entire frame collapsed.5 years ago I bought three of these. I painted them silver so that they weren't as dark. I didn't want them to get really hot in the Sun and I wanted them to fit in in the background of our patio. We have two outdoors and one indoors. I didn't feel like trying to find 2x4s in the ceiling and drilling holes in the ceiling to suspend my Sky Chair. These chair frames have been great. They haven't rusted. They work perfectly for us. I just bought another sky chair so I'm going to buy one more of these frames.

This hammock chair stand exceeded my expectations. It took me about 15 mins to put it together, all tools were included. Instructions were straightforward. The hammock in the picture is a La Siesta King size hammock chair. Because the chair is so large, it makes the stand look smaller than it is.At this price point I wasn’t expecting much, but it definitely is a value for the money. It is sturdy and solid.

This hammock/chair hanger exceeded expectations. It's made from heavy steel with a very nice finish. It comes in 4 pieces--two are the legs, two make up the C-shaped arm. The legs bolt together and through the bottom portion of the arm with two large bolts. The upper part of the arm bolts to the bottom part with two shorter stout bolts. It comes with the tools necessary to assemble, and it takes only a few minutes from start to finish. The clip that you hang your hammock/chair to does not swivel, but if that's a desirable feature, it is not difficult to add a swivel clip if you want (we did). Once assembly is complete, it seems quite study and balanced. There are optional holes in the 4 ends of the base that you could use to bolt this to a floor if you want, but for now, we are keeping it unbolted unless it turns out to be unstable. I doubt that there will be any problems with stability, but a nice option.

I understood from other reviews that the delivered item may vary...there seems to be more than one version when ordering from this company. However, I received the heavy-duty version advertised and am delighted. I am at an age where the prospect of having a hammock swing collapse on me is not that funny. This stand has a very well-designed and stable base and I feel secure. I have it on the back deck, and like to swing in at late at night to commune with the owls.It is easy to put together and necessary tools are included., however, you will save yourself frustration and time if you just have one person hold the lower tube upright while putting the base "feet" together. This will take about three minutes. It is too heavy to move easily, so put it together where you intend it to stay. Very happy with this excellent stand.

Luckily, I had all the pieces, despite a torn box. The packet of nuts and bolts had also torn open, but I managed to find all the pieces. Directions not exactly clear with regards to the 6 washers, and I had some trouble (similar to other reviewers) with getting the top half of the 'C' shape to fit down onto the bottom half. However, with some twisting and a lot of pushing I managed to get the heavy parts to fit together as the black paint scraped off. This might have been easier for someone else, as I am not that strong/big and the pieces were hard enough to hold up, much less force together when they didn't fit together well initially. With 2 people, this would be a cinch. The stand looks great, doesn't take up a ton of room, and is very sturdy. Very excited, and well worth the initial assembly work-out.
