This fireplace screen is an improvement over what I had before. This is a large fireplace opening and the trifold one I had before was too bulky and protruded out too much. This one is sleek and covers the opening perfectly. It's stable and the magnetic door closing mechanism is a nice plus so the doors stay shut.

We had a bulky screen that needed to moved every time we wanted access to the fire. This screen is so much nicer, sleeker, and lightweight--with 2 doors that allow easy access to the fire. It's a great screen that updated our look. But we did cut the back legs (as other customer did) so that it can sit flush to the brick.

Do NOT buy this! Its so cheap. Look good from about 15 feet away, but the gold paint comes off on your hands when putting screws in. feels like someone spray painted it in their backyard. Doors arent lined up evenly, Cute style, but worth maybe $30 MAX! wont last....

This fireplace screen is an amazing buy for the money, better than others that I reiewed for hundreds more. The design is stunning and the size is perfect for our over sized fireplace. Assembly was a breeze, 15 minutes tops. That was after I cut off the back legs, which as many other reviewers have commented, are way too long. Now it sits flush against the stone and no problem opening and closing the doors. Speaking of the doors, one would not close completely, so I carefully flexed it with my hands, and, magic, fixed.The reason for the 4 stars is the paint job. As you can see in the second photo, they did not spray paint all of the screen gold so you end up with a splotchy look. It would only have taken them a few minutes more painting and they would have a stunning 5 star screen.Regardless of the paint job, I still highly recommend it. For the quality, design and price, this screen can't be beat.
