It arrived on time and is a good product if you are looking for a braid line. Not convinced it is as "invisible" as they claim but it catches fish.

So I spooled this line on my reel and couldn’t wait to go fishing. Well in less than an hour I lost three wacky worm rigs. After the first one I thought it might be my simple knot (the one I’ve used for years without a problem) so used the Berkley recommended knot. Lost two more rigs. I can’t tell how it’s failing but it’s breaking off way too easy. I can’t recommend this line it’s awful.

Fireline Fused is the only line I use. I fish the Coastal Bend of Texas and catch, Redfish, Black Drum, Trout, Jacks, Spanish Mackerel, with fish ranging up to 50lbs. This line them all in, although I do use 20 lb test for offshore, but still Fireline Fused.

I was disappointed with this product. I've used Fireline before, which is almost indestructible, but this stuff snapped a half dozen times on me in one afternoon, even on the back cast (!), and frayed into 4 stands at the end. Will not buy again.

This has been an excellent purchase and has exceded my expectations. It has survived fish rapping it around rocks and getting crossed up with braid and mono with a fish on the line. The lines lack of memory makes casting easier than with mono especially in the dark and helps to avoide tangles. It is also less susceptible to wind knots than traditional braid. It is a little rough on the fingers if the drag is not set high enough when casting with a spinning rod but that is my mistake and not a fault of the line. I would recommend Fireline to anyone who has the reel capacity to use it instead of traditional braid, which dose have significantly smaller diameter and to those who are currently using equivalently rated Mono and looking for improved performance and better feel when playing a fish. I will definently be buying this product again and recomeding it to others.

Bought the 10lb test. Great deal with the rebate. Spooled this up on two new rods and reels we have used fairly heavily for past three months. Line does fade as others have mentioned. It is a great concept and is handy to be able to see the 5' increments. Can use it like a line counter if you are paying the line out when trolling. This weekend we did have an issue where the line seemed to separate and some strands frayed and created a rat's nest. Had to cut and re-tie. This happened about 20' from the end so it was a very heavily used section (has been abused by hundreds of casts and dozens of fish, as well as Canadian Shield rocks). No big deal to cut off and re-tie. Will just watch in future for signs of fraying and re-tie sooner. I would buy again but will probably go with the high-vis green color unless I specifically need the ability to count the line distance. Fireline has come a long way since I first tried it 15 years ago. This year was the first time I have used it for 12-15 years.
