You get what you pay for. The wire may be 40lb, but the clasps are absolutely NOT. I can't tell you how many fish I've had straighten the clasp out and get away. Avoid.

Price is good and the wire may be rated at 40lbs (not sure) but the clips are super weak therefore making the total rig maybe 10lbs or less. You can actually bend the clip with your fingernail. I lost a decent red drum due to the clip breaking (pulling apart). I should have known better than trust clips so small and frail. After I lost the drum, I threw the remaining rigs in the trash.

We're volunteers who, among other things, run fishing events at a fish hatchery. We have ~150 loner fishing rigs. Big catfish = lots of lost tackle. We're always looking for a deal on replacement components. I'm having a hard time believing that these are made with 40lb. test wire. No way the clips are that stout - easy to pull open by hand. The swivels appear sketchy as well. I recognize that these are inexpensive - I was hoping they weren't cheap.
