OverviewJust what I needed to compliment the new popcorn machine.It does make the containers easier to fill...but the true genius of this scoop it the ability to filter out any of the un-popped kernels. The machine itself does have a screen in the bottom directly under the kettle, but that still leave plenty of un-popped kernels around the perimeter.Just a quick scoop...and little side to side shake and into the bowl or box. It is surprisingly effective.It is a little expensive for what you get...but so is the dentist :) Pros-good build quality-effective at filtering out the un-popped kernels-makes filling up popcorn bags/boxes easier (they have a smaller opening that bowls)Cons-a little expensive...but still good valueRecommendation – Would buy it again and would highly recommend .

This thing is so much better than the free one that came with my popcorn popper! Might surprise you (it did me) but them little holes are for the unpopped kernels to fall through and not into your bucket! Yes, I eat mine but the bucket...don’t judge, you do too or you would be looking for a scoop like this! Seriously, it’s very sturdy and well designed to be ergonomically fit to shovel popcorn into a bucket...or one of those little sissy bags that I have no idea who in the heck uses! Just get it, it comes in a plain brown Amazon box so no one will know your guilty popcorn pleasure.

Bought this to use in my full size popper, and wanted one with holes to let the kernels and scraps fall through, this fit the bill. It is a bit large, so just be aware of how big your popper is but it was a great purchase. This is an excellent quality piece. Handle is sturdy, and it's ready clean. While there's not much to say to describe it, it's not fancy, it's made for right handed use, and it's very sturdy.Definitely great to have as a popper accessory.

I make a lot of popcorn for a local film series, and I bought this scoop to speed up filling popcorn bags. It works O.K., but it really needs a lot of space, and a lot of popcorn for maximum usefulness. Based on my experience, I think you need a popcorn bin at least one foot wide, one foot deep and 18 inches long to fill small popcorn bags with one motion, and that's assuming there is lots of working space above the bin.It is a large scoop, so it needs a lot of room to operate freely. It also gets oxidized after normal use and cleaning. It can be made shiny and new-looking again, but that takes some work.

My kids accidentally threw away the scoop that came with our popcorn machine, so here we are. This scoop is actually a lot nicer than the one that came with my Great Northern 8 oz. Lincoln popper. It has holes that are just the right size for letting kernels through. I wish the bottom was a bit narrower for fitting in the bags, but I think we have really narrow bags. Next time I will look for the larger bags with the wider opening. Other than that, it is very sturdy and has held up well to abuse. Here's hoping this one doesn't fall in the trash.

I've been looking for a vented popcorn scoop that wasn't tiny for quite awhile. The vents allow the unpopped kernels to fall out which is nice. I use it at home and for movie night. We have reuseable popcorn cups and a stir crazy popper. I pour the popcorn into a big stainless bowl, toss with olive oil (yes, it tastes like wonderful butter - but better for you) and some nut salt. Then I use this scoop to put into the cups. The reuseable cups have an opening about 3" in diameter and this works great. Because I'm working over the stainless steel bowl, excess falls back into the bowl. This scoop is aluminum with a twisted on painted wood or wood like handle and easy to clean. I would not put it into the dishwasher because of the handle and I don't think aluminum does well in the dishwasher. Just my opinion. It arrived in fair amount of time via USPS and in good condition, well packed.All in all, I like it and would recommend it.

This is a quality popcorn scoop like you see at the movie theaters. The angled handle makes it easy to scoop from sides and corners. However, this scoop is for the larger popcorn machines. If you have one of the smaller ones, this scoop will be too large. Plus, if you're a parent who is more interested in buying the little paper popcorn bags so every one of the kiddies will be given their own little bag of popcorn just like the old days you'll want a smaller scoop. This scoop is BIG. It's for filling the popcorn BUCKET (or large bag). This scoop works fine in my popcorn machine, which is the Maxi-Matic EPM-450 Elite Table Top Popcorn Popper. However, the scoop would be too large for any smaller machine. Simple solution for me, next time get a bigger machine (I love popcorn).
