Works well for deburring and sharpening drill bits. I haven't been super aggressive with it.

Although I don't have a lot of experience with power tools like this, this seems to be a very average bench grinder. The grinding wheels are good quality, but the motor takes some time to get up to speed. I will not be using it for heavy duty work, so it should be fine for my needs. The assembly instructions were basically non-existent, and the gooseneck light isn't very useful, but it does help a bit. Overall, a pretty average product that can be used for light grinding duties, but for serious work, it probably isn't good enough.

I have needed a bench grinder for my shop for a while, but it was always a purchase I put off for another day. When I saw this one, I decided to pull the trigger and give it a shot.It is mostly ready to go out of the box and only needs the grinding platforms and the face shields attached. The instructions for this is very minimal, but it seems fairly obvious what bolts are used for what and I didn't have any parts left over afterwards. The motor for this has extremely smooth bearings and it takes a little while to spin all the way up, then takes almost a minutes to stop after you turn it off. Always a good thing for a grinder. The grinding wheels that came with it are a little off balance so the whole things vibrates when running. I hadn't bolted it to the workbench yet and the vibration wasn't enough to rattle it off of it, but the bendable light would not stay in place. I will likely get some replacement wheels in the future.I was cutting off bolts for a project and gave this grinder a trial by rounding the ends, which worked perfectly. The grinder is smooth and didn't struggle with the work I put it to. I would kind of like a wire wheel on one side, but I don't know how much that will throw off the balance (if at all). Overall, at this price range, this is a nice grinder and I'm positive I will be using it a lot in the future.

Right out of the box, I noticed that one of the grinding wheels was slightly rattling, and a large washer and a nut were loose inside the box; I quickly realized that they were supposed to fasten one of the grinding wheels to the shaft. I had to detach the side cover to reattach the grinding wheel. This grinding wheel looks and feels low quality. It is heavy at 22 lb. Assembling it was fast and easy. The paint job is substandard with several scratches and blemishes and the grinder does not look nice and shiny at all like the picture on its webpage. This bench grinder is quite powerful with its 0.5 horsepower motor. Operating it is easy and simple; there is only one switch, and toggling it turns the grinder on and off. Its speed is not adjustable, and it turns at 3560 RPM. I used some pieces of metal to test it, and although it worked, the grinding wheel that was rattling significantly wobbled.Although it is kind of functional, for a brand-new product to wobble in such a way is unacceptable. Based on the substandard quality of this grinder, I do not believe that the wobbling issue is an isolated incident. Therefore, I do not recommend it.

Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. This is a nice grinder with a lot going for it. It runs fairly smoothly but, like all grinders in this price range, has some vibration and you can feel all the way into the floor of my house. It spins up reasonably fast for a half HP motor. The only real reason to get a 1 HP motor is to make it spin up faster when you turn it on. This turns on fast enough for most people except for hardcore wood turners. They sharpen their tools too often so the 5 or so seconds each time will add up throughout the day.I like that it has an LED light with the grinder, however the beam will not hit both grinding wheels at once. It is just not wide enough. You therefore have to move the light back and forth between each wheel. It would be really nice to have 2 lights, but that is a feature usually reserved for premium grinders, with premium price tags.It comes with a fine wheel and a course wheel. I replaced the fine wheel with a wire wheel for removing rust. This grinder's shaft is 1/2 inch and most are 5/8 inch. The wire wheel I bought would not work out of the box because it would flop around on the shaft. Instead I also had to order a 5/8 to 1/2 inch reducing bushing and then it worked fine. Keep that in mind when you order grinding wheels or other accessories as Amazon's website did not list the shaft size. The only real weakness of this grinder is the same one that most in this price range have - the tool rest. The tool rest on this one is very poor and will not hold an angle. Trying to get an exact angle is extremely difficult too. Fortunately you can either make or buy an after market tool rest for about $40 that is better than any one, that comes on any grinder. If you just want to clean up some metal, you probably don't need it, but woodworkers need the better tool rest to get the correct angle on chisel, plane blades, and woodturning tools. One last note, the plexiglass eye shield is nothing to write home about. It works but it nothing special. I cracked it withing about 3 hours just by walking by the grinder and bumping the shield.

The bench grinder is a nice addition to any workshop and if used properly should last a lifetime. The wheels run true and the grinder is supplied with two good grit wheels that should cover most of your grinding and sharpening needs. The motor has enough torque for light to medium grinding but don't expect it to hog off lots of material, that's what your angle grinder is for. This feels to me to be more suited as a finish grinder with the ability to handle moderate jobs as well.
